Just the flight. There are downsides to doing a degree abroad

I'm sure AC has no problems taking money. I hope they have no problems handing it to these beneficiaries.
My understanding is that it's an AC gift card, and it is either mailed out upon completion or whenever the person wants to stop, whichever comes first.

Yea, I just read the FAQ. So it's possible AC holds on to the money for a year before even releasing it to the beneficiary.

Now that I think about it, this is dumb. I'd rather just hand cash over to the other person, but I guess it might be put to drugs or booze or whatever instead of flying the family to a soccer match.

I'm working on the low side today! Means I have internet access!!!

It's also possible that the posters forget they posted a plea, get funding, it expires, they get the email with the gift card, and they never see the email.
You can redeem your Embarq funds for an Air Canada eGift Card at any point. But be sure you’re ready, because once you are, friends will no longer be able to chip in to your flight through Embarq. If you choose to wait to until the end of your funding date, we will automatically send you an email giving you access to an Air Canada eGift Card containing your Embarq funds.
Seems easy for the funds to never be seen by the recipient and AC keeps the cash. I want to be certain the gift cards are given to the recipient.

Oh well, need to work a day or two to make that money back... =(

Then $26 to another $25 request.

Then $624 (104% of $600). Why not be consistent.

Then $5,390 (104% of $5,182.50)...

Can you use an AC gift card for an itinerary that isn't entirely on AC metal?

$25 and $25, cheap... and "mickey mouse" got my attention....

$600 guy looked honest. He's never been to YQB. YQB is fun.

$5,390 I dunno... family trip. Sounds good. Wanted something a little more substantial, but not like some wanderlust begging for a handout.

It was easier than going to Vegas for a second overnight in a row.

It appears no, according to this:
Cards and eGift cards are only redeemable at Air Canada in Canada and the U.S. toward the purchase of air travel offered by Air Canada and operated by Air Canada, Air Canada rouge and Air Canada Express carriers (i.e. Air Georgian, Sky Regional, Exploits Valley Air Services and Jazz Aviation LP) and/or the purchase of ancillary services offered by Air Canada in conjunction with an Air Canada, Air Canada Express or Air Canada rouge flight. Air travel and ancillary services offered by Air Canada are limited to air transportation costs, change fees, last-minute upgrades, additional checked baggage fees, pet handling fees, unaccompanied minor fees, and applicable taxes or any other similar fee that applies to the purchase.

Oh, seriously? Why would he return $26? Just let AC have it then. I anticipate AC being a charity case in a few years https://twitter.com/Brodie_Aikman/st...14417546600450
