Beating the clock on eUpgrade devaluations
So after getting a whackload of eUps posted to my account (finally), I have finished booking all of my flights out into June - all in P or upgraded full Y at the current eUpgrade redemption rate. I normally don't do this but because of the changes coming in tomorrow, I figured I should pony up all the $$ now.
Hopefully I will have no need to change any of these bookings because I will then have to use the new (bad) eUp redemption rate.
Anyone else do the same/similar?

And the flipside of this question... how many of us have our eyes on R space and are looking to book domestic or international (SE only) trips YQ-free as soon as Aeroplan is updated for the March 1 rules.
I wonder if it'll be right at midnight, or if YQ-free AC flights will only become available online later than that? Knowing AE and AC IT, I have my suspicions for which way this will go.
But I'll still be logging in at AE at 12:00:02 to find out.

Oh, and back on topic... I'm kinda going the other way in terms of the clock and e-upgrades. I have a flight in U next Saturday that I'm not registering for an eUp for until the March 1 changes are in effect.
Sure, it's only a difference of two eup points from the (current) 6 to the post-changes 4, but any win out of this devaluation is at least a very minor moral victory.
At least it saves me two points that I can put towards the riduclous five extra points required for each long-haul domestic/transborder upgrades going forward...

Left a return from Europe in Aug. for another P maybe (not sure when the return to Europe should be), and aeroplan reward for my wife?
Still, surely not as many trips as you... My spreadsheet has me at 69k in August, plus a trip to Japan in October, and a trip to Europe late in the year. Plus what?

Just using them normally but getting some use out of this pre-devaluation benefit for travel on four flights next week. Left 27 2014-2015 eupgrades on the table and start with about 120 2015-2016 eupgrades after these flights taken out.

I'm in the same boat as you. I have some flights in H this month so I'm looking forward to the lower credit requirement for U and H. I have to make the small amount of credits I have last. Sadly I have a some bookings in V and G that I won't be able to upgrade because the requirement is way too high.

The above issue has gone to the AC help desk to determine what is going on. Told them I want the entire itin cancelled if it comes out of my 2015 bucket.
I advise everyone to check their e-up accounts.

I have two (or three) trips planned and ready to book tomorrow (or at midnight). One of them might require calling in, but the other one (or two) are simple enough to do online. But actually, I think the long-hauls either have I, or don't even have R, so I'm not sure I'm "watching R space"

Today Feb 28 was last day to burn your old E-ups. I had a strategy which paid off but I am left with 2 which go into the waste basket unfortunately. I am sitting at 55k for the new year which is a great leg up for the future.
With less and less SE's to compete with, this is giving me more reason to stick with AC although I dislike the new program.

Forgive / feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but as the flight is in March, don't you have to use your 2016 credits by default? Your flight is after the 2015 credits expire.
