The ad hit home in our family (Canadians living in the UK). After Wife Newsguy911 saw the ad, she had the emotions hit that we weren't going home for Xmas. 30 minutes later, tickets booked to see the family for a week in YYZ...

Guess marketing does work....

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (BlackBerry; U; BlackBerry 9780; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.8+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0.0.666 Mobile Safari/534.8+)

Kudos on their selected targets: drunks in a foreign land who probably had little to no exposure or expeeience with rouge.

I finally figured out where all of the money saved from revamping Altitude to the 2015 flavor went. To those at the pub who fly, oh wait, 0 times a year and just got a handout

Many many times. What's the opposite of the color blue again?

Canadian airlines are trying to make you cry this Christmas, and they're not the only ones. Welcome to the world of "sadvertising."

As a former marketing manager, let's just say I have a very jaded view of marketing/commercializing of the holidays.

I guess you will have problems flying most airlines next year, because most have "gutted" their FF programs.

Good on AC! ^
Rich white people helping to repatriate other rich white people with their family for the Christmas holiday, what's wrong with that?

What good is a free flight if you can not get to where you are going.
Remind me not to fly on your flights, your bad luck. In 30 years flying over 3000 flights, I have never lost 1 day because of mechanical problems.
