Today at YYZ D24 there was a zone boarding line agent managing the masses. I arrived as they were boarding Zone 4. She was awesome.

Nobody here needs to justify why they prefer to board first, early, middle, later, or last... or at exactly 7.38563 minutes after Zone 1 is called. And it shouldn't matter what the rationale is.

The fact is, this is a well-documented and long-running privilege and should be appropriately handled.

One of the former esteemed AC representatives here even said it was to enhance/improve (paraphrased) the boarding experience for premium passengers.

So if they have a herd of 100 non-zone-1-people ahead of a Zone 1 but won't make an effort to allow the Zone 1er to even board ahead of them, then there is literally zero point to zoned boarding.

This would be absolutely legendary...

But I don't think it would have the same effect for me if it was a codfish shouting "move over for ZONE 3"

Won't it be fun when they start employing managers, senior managers, and AVPs of Boarding Zone Compliance. Or has that already happened?

Quite right. And sadly, this actually might be happening.

This happened to me recently. Comfort fare + Preferred seat. BP showed zone 5.

Gate agent said "yup, another system issue", crossed out 5 and wrote in 3.

Same issue on the return leg, but got the "yeah we can't do anything about it" response.

Employing a RCHHMP from FT may be more effective, and more entertaining
