Flying this to HKG and back from PEK with the wife in the spring. For anyone that has experienced it, how are the centre seats in Row 6? I'm concerned light and noise from the galley will be bothersome but like the privacy 6 affords.
Would centre 6 be ok or is there somewhere better?

Any way to figure out which of the 77W(40J) planes normally makes the toronto-london route? Or is that changing all the time.
I have a business flight on that route in late June. Should all be refurbed by then but would love to see confirmation before hand.
Thanks

Assume you are asking about the 77L to HKG not the 789 from PVG?
I recently flew YYZ-HKG on the 77L in 6A. A couple I knew were in 6DG. They said they liked 6 for the same reason I did - the pods/seats feel recessed and the exterior wall adds a bit of privacy. I did not find the mid-galley noise to be bad other than the occasional crowds that seems to want the snack basket all at the same time.
The challenge seems to be crew and pax walking through and not closing the curtains. The velcro strip is not important enough to pay attention to and this was quite bothersome in 1A and 1K on the 788s to NRT.

735 is done and back in YYZ. Starts regular flights today. No aircraft has replaced it in GSO yet, but 740 looks like the only 773 without any flights scheduled for it. So, we'll see if it's next.

So, we know that the 777's that did not have a PE cabin got the 787 PE seats.
When the 777HD gets refurbed, will they just leave the PE seats like that? (Since it's already 10-abreast in the back and the PE cabin is already there, I guess they will just say wtv and not do it?)
I thought that, originally, the 777s were getting the ghetto seats.

As many of you have noted, in the analyst call this morning Calin announced that 18 of our 777s will be reconfigured starting next year to bring them in line with the 787 standards. Note that this means they will not mimic the 5 77Ps with 458 seats that we have operating YVRLHR, YVRHKG, YULCDG, YULLHR, which are unique aircraft suited to unique markets: different J seat, different PY seat, and different Y seat.
Unfortunately, and probably unsurprisingly, I can't give more information than that.
