Cabin Layout
Interior Specs can be found here https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/fly/onboard/fleet.html
- Window seats may feel narrower to come as the armrests are placed "into" the "curvature" of the cabin.
- Seats with no windows feel even more narrower as there is no space created by the curvature of window.
- All bulkhead seats have very limited legroom.
- Seats 15A, 16A, 16F, 17A and 17F have limited windows.
- Exit rows 19 and 20 have more legroom than regular preferred seats.
Routes
The 737 MAX is designated to replace the A320-series. Based on announcements and schedule updates, the following specific routes will be operated by the 737 MAX in future:
YYZ-LAX (periodic flights)
YYZ-SNN (new route)
YUL-DUB (new route)
YYZ/YUL-KEF (replacing Rouge A319)
YYT-LHR (replacing Mainline A319)
YHZ-LHR (replacing Mainline B767)
Hawaii Routes YVR/YYC (replacing Rouge B767)
Many domestic trunk routes (YYZ, YVR, YUL, YYC) now operated by 7M8, replacing A320 family

This is a valid point. Since some readers can't access those articles that are behind paywalls, most of us have posted those that are publicly available. It would be great if anytime someone posts a link and it is behind a paywall, it is clearly stated or an alternative is offered.

People spend how many tens of thousands of dollars on (in many cases superfluous) travel, yet won't subscribe to pay for quality journalism? The 'you pay for what you get' mantra is a valid one. More quality news sites are found behind paywalls these days, and it's not necessary to coddle forum readers into warning them they may actually not be getting something for free.
Thank you to Stranger for providing the link.
The situation for Air Canada (and all the other customers) who have bet so much upon the Max is indeed becoming dire.

Some readers can't access or won't pay for access? The paywall sites are publicly available - but you might have to (gasp) pay to read them.

Are you disagreeing with my right to state my opinion, or merely that it might not match your own? Would you prefer I send you a draft of my posts prior to submitting them?
Links to aviation news submitted via pay sites or via free sites are equally valid, and neither they nor the members who provide such links warrant criticism.
Do you have any comment upon Boeing's decision to suspend production of their latest and likely most financially disastrous product? Any insight on how it might affect Air Canada's profitability, route structure or fleet composition moving forward?

AC's page on the MAX still says it's off the schedule until February 14th, but it looks to me like they've been quietly wiping it from the schedule until March 31st over the past few days. On a number of routes, e.g. YYC-YYZ, YUL-YVR, YYZ-YYT, there are no MAXes in March, then a bunch in April.

"Don't simply post a link by itself to another source, such as an article or blog. (See also, Rule 9 – Posting Copyrighted Material.) Posts containing such links should contain enough information so as to be contributive to FlyerTalk itself. You must include enough content for the FlyerTalk post to stand on its own without following the link."
In other words, if you have access to material behind a paywall, post a brief summary for those who don't have access for whatever reason, don't just post a bare link.

Dennis Muilenburg is out as CEO of Boeing. Only question is what took the board so long?

I didn't think it would happen this week or quite so soon, but the president of Boeing has resigned.
