*FAQ:
Q: On the 787-9 (789), which seats in J are missing windows?
A: Rows 5 and 8 on both port and starboard sides have only one window, instead of two on all other port/starboard J seats.
Q: On the 787-8 (788), which seats in J are missing windows?
A: Only row 5 port and starboard sides have zero windows.
Q: Does the middle J seats' middle divider come down?
A: No, on the 788 and 789 the middle divider does not come down and is fixed in place. In fact, all Dream Cabin (788, 789, 77L, 77W) middle dividers are fixed and do not come down.

According to airline route.net:
http://airlineroute.net/2014/05/13/ac-cdg-dec14/
Daily service YYZ-CDG starting 01/12/14
AC is supposed to be getting 5 788s this year, so far IIRC, ZRH, PVG & CDG are the destinations.

Just be cognizant that just because AC lists flights using the 788, it does not necessarily mean that will be the aircraft they supply, but... YMMV

Boeing delivers Air Canada's 1st 787
Boeing has made contractual delivery of Air Canada's first 787-8 yesterday. The aircraft ZA610 (LN 160, C-GHPQ) will remain at Everett until May 18th when it will fly to Air Canada's base at Toronto's Pearson International Airport.
Air Canada has two more 787s that have been assembled though it appears that one of them was damaged in a forklift incident during seat loading at the EMC. This aircraft, ZA612 (LN 174, C-GHPU) is still at the EMC though it is outside on the ramp. ZA611 (LN 170, C-GHPT) is still on the Boeing Everett Flightline awaiting its B-1 flight.

Fair point although if I remember correctly people on the ones AC had to cancel before got put in latitude fare. If that happened to me it could be a chance to use my eupgrade credits without copay.

I don't think its like a car. And deep down, like sausages, I don't think we (or even AC for that matter) want to know how its made. As long as it works as promised. Compensation for delays, yes, but probably not for the rest.

By next June, Air Canada will have eight of the new planes in service and will no longer fly 767s across the Pacific Ocean, Mr. Smith said. All trans-Pacific 767 flights will be converted to 787s or 777s.
“We will also be announcing new routes to Asia with the 787,” he said.
