Q: On the 787-9 (789), which seats in J are missing windows?
A: Rows 5 and 8 on both port and starboard sides have only one window, instead of two on all other port/starboard J seats.
Q: On the 787-8 (788), which seats in J are missing windows?
A: Only row 5 port and starboard sides have zero windows.
Q: Does the middle J seats' middle divider come down?
A: No, on the 788 and 789 the middle divider does not come down and is fixed in place. In fact, all Dream Cabin (788, 789, 77L, 77W) middle dividers are fixed and do not come down.

Something tells me that those approximately 6' or taller have issues with the Dream Cabin J pods.Originally Posted by BlondeBomber
Despite attempting to fly 78x, only done it once (equipment changes thwart me!). Sleep on side and have no issues with bumping into things. I think they are better than old pods IMHO. Maybe there are different configs. I put tray up and away and it worked OK. Would do it again.

I read there wasn't much improvement with the 787-800 but how about the 787-900?
I've got a trip to BOM and was considering DCA-YYZ-BOM on AC but as a side sleeper really hated the tray table wedging into my up knee.
If I didn't do AC, I would do IAD-ZRH UA on the 767-400 which is 2 x 1 x 2 so that's better than there normal business then connect to a Swiss A330-300.
Thanks.
I have been on the 789 a few times. Try to table is just as annoying and I have banged my knees a few times. Originally Posted by chuck1

I was on a 788 flight today and tried to figure out what people are complaining about. I couldn't find any issue with the table.Originally Posted by mendy7511

I'm 6' tall on the nose and sleep on my back and side and have zero issues with the Dreamliner J pods. Something tells me this may be more related to build than height. I far prefer the Dream Pod to the old pods.Originally Posted by yyznomad

Ok, how about a 6' defensive lineman build then? Originally Posted by djkyyc

At the risk of sharing too much, I am 5'10 165 lbs and the table bothers me. Originally Posted by yyznomad

I have played football back in the day, but definitely not D line.
Interesting. Air Canada is one of the top 5 operators by capacity share.

With several more 787-9's yet to come, I'm guessing AC will move into 2nd place just behind ANA. While not perfect, truly enjoy working onboard this aircraft, and with 767's diminishing in number, has become my aircraft of choice.Originally Posted by 24left

I find a comparison between this list and the delivery list interesting:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...and_deliveries
JL has the second most 787s delivered, yet only 8th by capacity, for reasons we all know. Also I am interested in why BA isn't in the top 10 by capacity.
As for AC moving to 2nd place, I doubt it. UA, AA, BA, QR all have more 787 orders than AC.

No airline comes close to ANA @ 68.8 %. Also, interesting to see that HND has the most capacity of all airports and no CA airports rank in the top 20.
It does not lower.
It could be removed with the proper screwdriver, but I suspect the flight crew would be slightly unhappy

My partner and I usually sit one behind the other on a window side. Even then, if you do sit in the middle, the partition hardly prevents conversation.Originally Posted by Meljvi
Thanks for your reply. So for a couple traveling together what two seats do you think would be the best?
