Issues in Yeg. Popped in my AP number and logged in with no issues.

Not to extend the dialgoue, but it would be interesting to see what the MPS speed difference is between the two levels.

If it is minor, then I doubt there is much point in upgrading. That of course unless everyone in the lounge is trying to stream video...

I think there's a reason why it's slow....

From YVR:
Connect to Internet
Are you an AC E/SE member?
No
Enter First name
qtuyiutewqhtiougdsnagiubansdlkjgbalsd
Enter Last Name
kjsdfjslignosdngkangkasiduFGKDSJ
Enter Flight #
230
Congratulations. You now have Silver access.
(Yes, you can type the names I typed in, or replace it with something else creative.)
I also have Lisa Raitt's AC# for whenever I lose AC E status. (Thanks, CBC!)
(Original article now censored the AC# however.)
Speedtest for YVR MLL

So far, since they went to tiered Internet, I've only been dropped to silver access once, the rest of the time it recognized my AP number and gave me gold level.

Probably typical IT / AC issues

Unbelievable the amount of effort they put into tiering access to their stupid wifi connection.

I don't know of any other airlines that engage in such shenanigans, not even cheapskate UA.

It really is.
Amateur.

I remember enjoying stable, fast connectivity on a tourist bus in Uruguay in 2010 ... Never thought we'd be at this bush-league level years later
