What I've noticed is that whenever I get a button hole on the tablecloth, I never get it on my napkin... and when I have it on my napkin, it's never on the tablecloth. Pure coincidence that I've noticed this mutual exclusivity?

I sometimes wear my napkin as a cape. I feel invincible in J. I can even create a force field to protect me from those super duper evil Y pax.

PY pax are Demi-evil so the force field is weaker.

The button holes seem to have been re-introduced on a consistent-basis (at least on my last half dozen TPACs this year).

Application example for those skeptics at home:

Difference between TPAC and TATL? No buttonholes to or from LHR last week.

Good question. I did CDG two weeks ago but did not pay attention to this.

Admittedly my sample size is small which is why I'm curious to hear about other recent "buttonhole reports".

Question: Are the button holes in the new linens or did they just bring back the old linens out of storage? The new linens have the Air Canada logo in the weave. The old linens did not and had button holes.

We had them on our LHR flight last week. We'll see on our flight back.

If we are keeping track, yesterdays ac619 (an 768) had both the tablecloth and napkin with a hole, as did 1982, a Rouge 319.

Maybe they got a fast order in and RAD when they hit deep maintenance.

Agreed. I've consistently had them on all my TPAC flights since last Fall. Can't say for the TATL.
Funny thing is that I've had table cloth with button holes as well !!

New stock obviously have the holes, which means you're going to see a combination of both until old stock is depleted. Apparently you spoke & they listened.

Rouge YYZ-SAN and back have had button-holes consistently since last spring. Mystery solved - Rouge got all the holes! (and Kit-Kats aplenty )
