It would help if every member could take a moment to ensure they are posting in the correct thread. This one is meant to be only for listing valid booked mini-RTW itineraries and not questions about booking mini-RTW which belong in this thread:

Mini RTW Questions

Newer members who are just coming to find the whole topic are likewise encouraged to read and pose their questions in this thread:

Question List of valid and booked mini-RTW itineraries

Below please post only actually-booked mini-RTW itineraries. Please include each segment, class for each segment, and date booked. This will help others plan based on what works and doesn't work.

Please use the other threads for discussion, not this thread, just to keep this thread simple. (I know, not a snowball's chance...)

Mini-RTW defined: From Canada, an Australia/New Zealand/Asia return trip reward booking. A mini-RTW happens to cross both oceans (or the illogical ocean twice), and includes up to 2 stopovers. You travel around the world (northen hemisphere or both hemispheres) but only pay the Australia/NZ or Asia reward price. This is a valid trip, but because there are long distances involved, the routings can be tricky - hence the volume of discussion and confusion.

Made-up Examples:

From http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/13438687-post8.html, pilotboy1985YYC booked:

YHZ-YUL AC J
YUL-MUC LH F -> It appears there is ton of F available any day of the week
MUC-FCO LH J -> Stop for almost a week
FCO-FRA LH J
FRA-SIN LH F -> Again, lot's of availability in F. Seems easy to grab. Stop in SIN for about a week
SIN-BKK SQ J -> Getting SQ J was difficult on this route, but lots of TG J available. No F offered on this short flight. Stop in BKK for about 4 days.
BKK-ZRH TG F -> This route seemed pretty easy to get F on.
ZRH-JFK LX F -> This wasn't an easy route to get F. Stop in JFK overnight
LGA-YYZ AC J
YYZ-YHZ AC J

From http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/13480615-post1.html, Yukonprince booked:

Fredericton - Montreal - Munich - Amsterdam (stop) - Zurich (stop) - Bangkok (stop) - Tokyo - Toronto - Fredericton. The Tokyo - Toronto leg is in J. There were just too many crazy stopovers required to stay in F across the pacific - my choice.

I've ticketed a lot of these awards...both for myself, and more recently for friends who thought there Aeroplan miles were for toasters or flying YYZ-YYC return. They have now seen the light!

These awards are either 100K Business or 120K First Asia awards. A few that I can remember at the moment...
