Argh - none of which help get me from Singapore to Europe.

I do have a solution that gets me where I need to go, but involves two connections through BKK after the POT.

I never leave airside at BKK, but as far as I know this still isn't permitted.

Anyone know more?

I've been looking at PNH for an upcoming trip to DEL. The AP multi-city option allows me to select YEG - DEL (POT) - PNH (stop) - YEG via BKK on both sides of PNH.

I assume that DEL is my POT rather than PNH since it charges 150k in J, while the redemption in J for PNH is 155k.

Problem is, I'm trying to do YUL-HKG-PNH-KUL-YUL, with PNH as the POT.

...but anything that touches PNH has to go through BKK first, so I have to fly direct ex-KUL on the way home, as I've "used up" both my Bangkok stops.

Currently we're flying KUL-IST-YUL, I'm trying to move us to KUL-BKK-ZRH-YUL but can't get the extra BKK stop.

trying to help a friend use his points for a First class ticket to asia.

this is what he wants to do and I am looking for advice on how to build this.

I found yyc-lax-icn-han (lax-icn OZ A380 in F) the rest in J

Then bkk-del stop

Del-bkk-kbv

Kbv-yyc

I know this wont all be on one points ticket but any ideas how to best structure it? Would it be possible to transit Europe on the kbv-yyc return?

Thank you

The full Star Alliance Route Map is the definitive source.

Destinations > PNH > Exclude connections & Codeshares

BKK on TG
ICN on OZ
TPE on BR
NRT on NH

That's it.

I want to do an open jaw: YYC-ICN-SIN x BKK-IST-YYZ-YYC.

I assume the MPM is based on the farthest destination (SIN), so does that mean my return trip (BKK-IST-YYZ-YYC) will use the MPM based on returning from Singapore over the Atlantic or Bangkok?

where do you check Aeroplan's MPM these days anyway? I heard Aeroplan doesn't use the standard MPM anymore.

There is a thread on this forum that lists a few pseudo MPM's since Aeroplan changed things. From that thread and the valid mini-RTW thread I've learned that returning through IST is not possible on YYC-BKK, but may be possible on YYC-SIN (for sure on the old MPM, not yet sure on the new MPM).

My signature thread has links to all the proper or version 2.0 threads
Sorry, easier that way than finding all the links

Thanks!

YYZ-NRT is only 9049...and without +5%...I'll have to redesign my RTW2017 which was based on 13321 (AT)

I would guess the MPM of BKK-YYC for the return, because it's an open jaw, but I could be wrong.

It should be from Singapore since that's your destination (surface sectors don't change that), but just try it on Aeroplan's multi city. If it's over mpm, it'll be greyed out.

For example, Calgary to Frankfurt, Frankfurt to Singapore, Singapore to Calgary is allowed, but depending on what you choose for the first leg, only Turkish and Thai routes are below mpm for the second leg. Anything going through Seoul is greyed out
