For Plats it makes it rather difficult to see what is needed to retain status. I would like to know my points/nights since my Platinum status was reached but this requires an Excel spreadsheet and some copy/paste...

That was my conclusion as well after becoming Plat and trying to figure out my points/status. And, indeed, the Excel sheet is the only practical way to count this.
So if we believe that the Stay/Night counter is accurate then I'm 14 stays/24 nights so far until 30/06/2016. I have 13/24 in my worksheet but booked 2 rooms for one stay, it must count twice. Then I'm 13,361 points in this year since 01/07/2015 with an anticipated 15K+ points until end of April => Platinum should be renewed.
But, gosh, that accorhotel.com website is really, truly horribly designed and coded. Keeps bugging/crashing all the time, timeout is too short, the sliding pictures are a total pain to use when using a remote display when starting a new booking, the auto-login keeps resetting all the booking information you painfully entered, etc. I'm quite sure they are losing some business because of their website... which is ironic given how badly they are trying to bring back direct bookings to skip brokers.
If wish they learn some bits from other booking websites sometimes!

Unfortunately this information is totally useless, unless you look at it exactly 365 days after qualifying for platinum. On that day it should tell you whether you have requalified for platinum based on the number of nights. But then it is too late to do anything about it

status progress?
Well, my current Accor Platinum status will expire soon, but I believe I have earned enough points in the past 12 months to renew. However, in my online account I just can't find this exact information -- current expiration date, how many points I have earned so far, how many more points need to maintain the current level, etc. This info is prominently displayed at the very top summary section of every other hotel royalty programs, but not with Accor? Am I missing something obvious here?

This was recently discussed in this thread

In short Accor currently don't make this information easy to get beyond doing a tedious back count of your statement for the last 12 months.

Really can't gather why Accor wants to hide this info, as it shouldn't take more than a few lines of codes to fix this...

I reached platinum early December 2014. I collected more than 55,000 points in the following 365 days. Nevertheless my account still shows:
Validity of your status:31/12/2015
No email congratulating me on maintaining my status, like when I reached platinum more than one year ago. Nothing.

Today I received two exactly the same emails, 15 minutes apart. The subject of the emails is "Your opinion earns points". So I expected an invitation for a survey through which I could earn some extra points.
However when I opened the emails, this was the text:
So unfortunately no points to win, but finally a confirmation that I will retain platinum membership for another year.

They said they can't check this directly while I'm holding on the phone, promised to send the update by email, which sounds reasonable to me.
Problem was that Email #1 was totally off-topic, simply quoting the Plat level conditions, not my current status. Made a less-friendly reply and eventually got the information I needed this time (with a "thank you" note from my side):
Status reset date: June 5th
Current points: 26,459
Until they "upgrade" their system/app/website to show the current level, keeping track of all your points is still the best course of action.

After my last two stays, I think my nigths balance is remaining the same (53 nigths).
So I calculate my self for the last 365 days (excel sheet) and found, I spent 58 nights at Accor.
As anybody ever checked his nights balance before and found any errors ?
