Tracking Status
Can someone help me understand how I can track how many points I need to maintain my status? I'm currently Platinum, which expires at the end of August. I just called Accor to ask them and explained the question a few times but they just told me as long as I stay in a hotel at least once a year I'll maintain my status, which doesn't seem right. Any advice appreciated!

Your status is valid for 365 days from the day you reach a status threshold. At the end of this period, your activity for the previous 365 days is calculated and this will form your new level.
So in your situation, if between September 2014 and August 2015 you have stayed at least 60 nights OR earned at least 25 000 points, you will requalify for Plat. Also, there is no soft landing with Accor Le Club, unfortunately. Hope this helps! |
But it does not seem that there is anyway of tracking your progress to requalifying except by remembering the date you initially qualify for Platinum and adding up all the points you earn after that date hoping that you can distinguish between non-elite qualifying and elite qualifying points.
There does not appear to be any progress bar in your account information on the website. |
Tracking Status
Does the requalification time frame start exactly on the day you qualify or at the beginning of the next month? I got platinum early December and earned more than 25,000 points between that date and the end of December. I still don't know whether or not I will be platinum until the end of 2016. Currently my account says December 2015.

There does not appear to be any progress bar in your account information on the website. However, there is a small trick... On your dashboard, there is the following phrase displayed (for example)...

However, on my dashboard, I see that my card is set to expire on the 31th the month, while I switched levels on the 18th, so it would imply there is effectively a bit more than 365 days. |

Can someone explain what are "non-elite qualifying and elite qualifying points.".
I thought all points were qualifying for elite status. Courtesy Bonus : Mercure Sydney Potts Point 1000

Yes that is correct, it is necessary to add up the points "manually".

But when I qualified as Platinum that Dashboard update disappeared so it will only work if you aren't already Platinum -no?

If you are currently Platinum, all you see is the 'Validity of your status' so you'd have to go through your points history as far back as 12 months prior to that to calculate night and / or points. There is nothing in the T&Cs to say that any particular points don't count towards status but perhaps in some specific promotions they insert this in individual T&Cs for that promotion?
The general Accor T&Cs are here: http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/leclub...conditions.pdf Wouldn't it be great if Accor could just tell us Plats how many nights or points we need to re-qualify?! Other hotel programmes show this clearly. It provides an incentive for us to do so. We shouldn't have to individually calculate and second guess where we will or not. Sort out the IT Accor! |
This is exactly what I was trying to find out as well. My status expire at the end of this month and I have no idea how many points I need.
I sent a message to Accor asking if it was possible to see missing points but got a standard response copy-pasted from T and C on how many points in general are needed for each status... As if I did not know that... |

HQ says it is "one of the things they are working on", but there are other more pressing things... Hmmm.
I suggest sending a message to Amy, the Accor Concierge and she may be able to escalate it. |
