This is a new route and I am booked in T class both ways.
Does anyone know if there is going to be an UFC offer, and how much would that cost?
Thanks
Igor

On the one hand, loads in C are extremely light. On the other hand, it's a new route and is therefore to be exected. I can't imagine them selling these seats on the cheap lest they damage their value going forward, but letting them go out empty can't be great either.

On a recent flight ORD-SFO, I was offered a Y-C upgrade and took it (wouldn't usually, but for someone with a large frame -- regardless of how much jelly is around the middle -- even Y+ can be uncomfortable); don't remember the amount. What surprised me is that when I checked in (at the counter, using Mr Chicken) I was offered a further upgrade to F. Should have taken it, but am a victim of the unemployment situation and have to watch my pennies. Don't remember this amount, either, but it was less than the original.
Wasn't offered any paid upgrade on the return trip, which I had upgraded Y-C with miles (E500s not reliable for a 1P on this route, and good thing I did -- the flight was oversold and we had a tour group of high schoolers in back).

Flying ALB-IAD-LHR-DUB. Offered UFC $809 in ALB for IAD-LHR after asking. The agent actually checked with a chicken. I wasn't offered one via OLCI.

I was booking a multi-segment MR and was offered F SFO-LAX for $189; just about half of the entire itinerary.

I wish there was a way to break out the Y to C and C to F upgrades separately, or even 2 different threads.

SYD upgrades at Gate
I'm thinking of doing a MR to SYD in May for $800 with a K Fare.
Are they selling upgrades at the gate lately?
How have loads been in C?
Thanks

Offer to C: $780 US.
Accepted. Was prepared for E+, but did budget for this, in the event of an offer.

Bought an MR ticket BWI-RNO and got offered a buy up to F one way for $571. Couldn't decline that fast enough.
Might have jumped at that for both ways as it would have been a little less than the cost of 500's. However, even with an EQM/RDM bonus, I didn't see it as being worth it considering the entire ticket was less than $300.
