So they would increase their daily flights ?

I do not think so...would be very much surprising if they will increase FRA and on top of that add the DUS service!

It starts to feel like the hype about the new iPhone... When is it coming? What color and size it will have? Any cool functions?

They have no idea what they are doing. They change plans nearly every day now. So it’s just a guess what’s going to happens in this winter. Time will tell.

I am worried as my wife (on First) and 2 children (on J) are travelling on TG 923 in mid Dec on Aeroplan reward tickets. What are my options if they cancel this flight? Will Aeroplan or TG guarantee them 3 equivalent seats on other TG flights leaving Europe on the same day? Whose responsibility is it - Aeroplan or TG?

I wouldn't worry too much...it strongly appears to be the case that TG922/3 is staying and will be operated by 747...so quite possibly they'll be enjoying the new F suite rather than old F on the A346.

Presumably your children are old enough to travel unaccompanied in the J cabin? This type of arrangement with younger children has caused problems with TG award bookings before.

I remember only one instance of that happening and it was in the 77W with herringbone seats which TG is no longer in possession of.

Shows the same for my December flight as well. But if you check ITA they now list (at least for my flight date) a 747.

Well lets hope that they don't figure that out they can't fill it until after our respective December trips!

Would be nice to be on a B747 v the A340

Well this is what ANA is showing for December (but they also show an A346 seatmap)

[KVS Availability Tool 7.4.2/Diamond - Awards/StarAlliance/JP-ANA-STD]
Code:
BKK Bangkok Metro / Suvarnabhumi Intl TH = BKK DMK [VTBS]
FRA Frankfurt Metro / Intl DE = FRA HHN [EDDF]
THU 11 Dec 2014 | 1 Seat

Carrier Flight From Depart To Arrive A/C St Availability
--------- ------ ---- -------- ---- -------- --- -- -------------
LH 773 BKK 12:25 FRA 18:45 343 0 FS/ CS- YS+
TG 922 BKK 13:15 FRA 19:05 747 0 FS+ CS+ YS+
TG 920 BKK 23:40 FRA 05:30 +1 380 0 FS- CS- YS+
...elsewhere I read that TG922/3 would go 747 and that DUS would be operated by 77W.

Really...who knows! I suspect right now, not even TG.

Hopefully all will become clear within a few days.

Why would the 747 be nicer?
From what I understand it would have the exact same seats in J?!

Still do not believe they will have a 380 + 747 a day to FRA AND a 77W to DUS...

Thanks!
I really hope they dont cancel this flt. Will be unnecessarily stressful for my children if they have to stopover one or more times to reach BKK. They are old enough to travel in J if my wife is on the same flt, but cannot travel alone.
In case the flt is cancelled, is Aeroplan obliged to honour the previous booking class and can they really make TG open up 1 F seat and 2 J seats on the A380 flt from FRA-BKK?

Refurbed 747 does not have the same seats as the A346 in J. Both are angled lie flat however.

And of course it has a totally different F product.
