FAQ: Royal First Class Lounge and Royal Orchid Spa information and access.
Thought with the number of FCL and Spa questions littering this board it might be worth making a sticky with all the available information and also provide a place for members to ask their questions. Please let me know if you think it is a good idea and please let me know if any of the information I have included is wrong or if you feel anything else needs to be added.

Using specific techniques the therapist will work to loosen tight muscles around the neck and shoulders whilst simultaneously assessing how much tension is held in the body and how best to release it. You will board your flight feeling more relaxed and a little lighter on the shoulders.
• Relaxing Hand Massage (30 minutes) – Are your hands tired from all that clicking, driving, messaging and typing? If so, how about offering them a break and giving them a massage they truly deserve? By massaging the major channels/meridians of the arms and reflex points in the hands, this deep hand massage is designed to thoroughly release tension that accumulates in the hands and arms from our daily tasks. finishing with warm towels for both arms encourage muscle relaxation; this treatment can help to deliver a total sense of relaxation.
• Relaxing Foot Massage (30 minutes) – Let's help prepare your feet for your onward journey, by taking the weight of them and giving them a relaxing massage that they truly deserve. Foot massage is a well-known relaxation therapy to help take care of tired feet. With the gentle touch of the therapists' hands, a sense of overall relaxation is induced. Deeper pressure by the fingers will help to stimulate your vital organs.
Spa access rules:
TG F departure = F spa access

Q: Is it possible to book the spa treatment in advance?
A: No. You can book at First class check-in, at the FCL or the Spa itself - they will indicate the approx waiting time if more than a few minutes.
I have had some PMs from newer members who are confused by some of the abbreviations on this post. If you need help understanding them, FT has a great tool for looking up their meanings in the FT glossary.

On arrival I would ask the FA if your friend can come up the front for landing and get off the plane with you. This way you can both get on your buggy and she may just drive you both to the lounge and then all they will want to see are your onward boarding passes and probably not ask any more Q's.

I'm travelling CDG-BKK in F and onwards to USM in C.
Doesn't look like I'll officially get Flounge access, but what I'm reading it seems open to discretion.
Will certainly be trying my luck, and pushing for access.

You can ask them and see if they are okay with it. Just remember that you have to go through immigration and through to the domestic terminal so I wouldn't recommend trying unless you've got a long connection.. And I think your connection is most likely 1hr50 in which case it's not worth it IMO.

Hi everyone,
I have purchased an award ticket for my mother traveling HNL-PNH, due to availability she is currently coming in to BKK on TG/Y and leaving on TG/C (2 class aircraft).
She is arriving at 4:30am with a 3:25 layover, does anyone know if she will have access to the C spa services? and how likely is it she will be able to get in?
Also.. I have been checking and hoping a business or first award seat will open up on her flight from Tokyo-BKK. I wanted to get her first as she has never traveled out of the country and I liked the idea of them taking her through customs and to the lounge.
After reading the above posts it sounds like as she is going from TG/F -> TG/C it is not assured she will have F lounge access, does this mean they will not pick her up and take her through customs?
Thanks

All your questions have been answered in the first post on this thread. Since she would be departing from BKK-PNH in C then she will get C lounge access and C spa services.
If she arrives in TG F and connects to PNH in C then she will have access to the F lounge but will only get access to the C spa. By the way she will not have to go through customs/immigration in BKK. If arriving in F she will be driven from the gate of her arriving aircraft to the lounge and then she will be escorted to the gate of her flight to PNH.

Spa access arriving TG F departing *A F
I'm connecting in BKK on a *A award ticket from SYD-ZRH: TG F to BKK and LX F to ZRH. It's definite that I will get first class lounge access but is it definite that I will not get any spa access? Is the spa access truly only for passengers departing on TG?
Also I currently have a 7-hour layover but don't intend to leave the airport. I could switch to a later TG SYD-BKK and have a 70 minute layover. Is this feasible given the first class pickup on arrival and no need to go through immigration? Would I be taken all the way to my departing LX flight?

I'm arriving on TG C and departing on *A C (SQ).
Two questions.
Do I qualify for spa access? I couldn't find my exact situation at the top of the thread.
Which BKK lounge(s) should I/am I entitled to? TG? SQ?

The standard minimum connection for international to international flights at BKK is 75 mins however it is 70 for certain TG to TG flights.. Let me know which flights you are arriving and departing on and I can tell you if it is a legal connection or not?
