Thanks - I don't see the specialty select awards online. Do I need to call the hotel or the SPG line to book that?

You would need to call in to SPG customer service. Upgraded award rooms are not sold online and the hotels are forbidden to make award reservations.

We usually spend the first night here because we fly in late. Our recent stay was 2 nights because the Dolphin was sold out. They've made some nice updates to the hotel. The a/c units are still loud, but the price was a tiny fraction of what we paid at the Dolphin for a very similar room. The waived resort fee/free parking for plats is something I hope doesn't disappear like it has at the Dolphin. The latest checkout they would give was 2. We had breakfast elsewhere, but did get the coupons. We had several problems with our stay at our formerly loved Dolphin, and laughed at ourselves for sitting in the Dolphin praising the Sheraton. We were very grateful in the end that the Dolphin was sold out the first two nights. We saved a lot of money (and aggravation).

For those interested, I received an email from the Sheraton LBV today advising that thru March 27th, all rooms are 4000/3000 per night (as opposed to the 7000 they command as a Category 3. IMO, this hotel is the best bargain at Disney, especially at Category 2 prices

We just booked 2 nights with spg points and have few questions:
1. Will $23.99 resort fee include parking fee?
2. We'll arrive around mid night on first day, do we still need to pay resort fee and parking fee?
3. We have a puppy with us, do we need to call your hotel first before we arrive?

We are gold member and having American spg business card. Is there any benefits we could have?
thanks,

I would need to have a reservation confirmation number to reference in order to answer some of these questions. Feel free to send it to me in answer to the Private Mail you sent me.

Does anybody have recent experience of Platinum benefits (breakfast, etc.) being extended here to a second or third room booked by the Platinum member? Resort fees waived for all rooms?

I know the rules... just wondering whether they go above and beyond here.

Not sure about extra rooms but my room is always free of resort charges. They also give your breakfast plus the 500 points. This is a nice place for the price.

I stayed there this past week. Check-in was slow as molasses, but Florida has never been known for fast, friendly service. YMMV. I enquired about an upgrade and they gave me a Florida room which provided us more than enough space. The bunk beds could've been cleaner, but cleaning is not a priority at many Florida properties either. They waived parking and resort charges. Gave me a coupon for 2 ppl for the full buffet breakfast. I was cool w/ paying for the third, but our server "found an extra coupon" for our third. Even gave us bottles of water before we went to Kennedy Space Centre. Left him a nice tip. I'd return.

I stayed here between 4/23 and 4/26 as an SPG plat.

I didn't receive an upgrade, unfortunately. I did ask if any Florida rooms were available but they said they were sold out. I did at least get a pool view for what that's worth.

The rooms were nicer than I remember them being from my previous two stays. Although the A/C was very loud (both in my room and in the conference space).

The breakfast was free for my wife and I. My daughter only wanted juice and they didn't charge me extra for that.

We took advantage of one of their cabanas (which are slightly cheaper due to an SPG discount). It comes stocked with soft drinks, an overhead fan, and a TV. We secured a spot next to the kiddie pool and my daughter just loved it and we both loved being able to stay cool for an extended period outside.

This place is a real bargain at 3-4K starpoints per night. I didn't expect to enjoy my stay as much as I did.

Nice place to park for a few nights if you're needing a place to stay near Disney. We liked the breakfast for plats and everyone seems like they like working here. We'd stop by again if we needed to stay nearby. We were not upgraded but we did have a pool view and the A/C was quite loud.

I agree with everything above except I find their breakfast to be sorely lacking.

Can someone explain to me why this hotel doesn't have "fifth night free" for redemption?

This property is a Category 2 hotel. Fifth night free is only available for Category 3 - Category 7 hotels.

Thanks, I appreciate the response. I should have read the T&C on fifth night free.
