It can take up to 7 business days from the day you qualified for your Lifetime Platinum status to be picked up by the system.
Starwood / Marriott merger
Q : What will happen to my Lifetime Status when the programs merge together in the future?
A : Rest assured we will always recognize your Lifetime Status, whether it is today in your earned program or in the future with a new, combined program.

Dashboard is not showing my years of elite (I doubt he's got over 500) or lifetime stays (presuming that's what he means). It does show me what I need to earn status. I'm only 9 nights away from LTP, but still shows I need 50. Drilling down to Account Overview does show LT nights.
I believe the best way to get this information is to contact SPG directly. A simple email would probably be the easiest given there's no rush.

I believe I just qualified for LTP this past Thursday, yay!!! The Dashboard shows 714 nights, 12 years elite along with 0 years & 0 nights to LTP but still showing me as LTG.
Am I safe in assuming it takes a few days and my lifetime status should switch to LTP sometime this week?

Another data point - I received the metal card today. Took about 32 days. Received a FedEx package from CENVEO this morning.

Made lifetime platinum late February, about five months ago exactly. Despite numerous follow ups with SPG via Twitter (starting in about mid April if I remember correctly), I still don't have my package. It's pretty disappointing.
At this rate, I'm not confident I'll get any type of package before the merger with Marriott occurs.

The kit really didn't do anything for me. I already knew where I've stayed so the map was not that big a deal. The metal card was nice, but I've never used a card in my entire Starwood history, nor do I know what they are for other than having phone numbers on them.

Your kit did not come with instructions?!?!? All LTP members are suppose to use the double sided tape and affix the card to their forehead whenever they are at a Starwood property to announce their presence to the hotel staff.

Do folks see any difference in upgrades once LTP? Am particularly interested in differences from LTG+Plat100 to LTP+Plat100

Could really care less about the package since it's a card I'm never going to actually carry. Ya think SPG could give you something worthwhile like a couple of free nights after spending probably $200K at their hotels...

Got my monogrammed bathrobe by FedEx today along with a birthday card along with a business card from my ambassador. His picture on it looks nothing like what I imagined I'm to look like...

Would have been a nice touch to have your ambassador's picture emblazoned across the bathrobe @:-)

Just got off the phone with a PLT rep. I confirmed my LTP status but he said it can take up to 14 days after qualification for your status to update from LTG to LTP. He also said it takes up to 12 weeks for the LTP package to go out.

My qualifying stay posted the day after checkout - which is common for this property. It took six more days for me to receive SPG's note on lifetime status.

I'm struggling a little bit with the LT Tracker. It says that I have "2 Years to Lifetime Platinum." I became Plat in 2008, so I have 8 years behind me, now in my 9th year, and am just about to hit 50 stays to re-qualify for Plat in 2017 (which would be my 10th year Plat). I have way over 500 stays.
I emailed SPG to confirm that my calculation and understanding is correct, and I got an email saying "Yes, we'll update the dashboard for you." But nothing changed on the dashboard.
So... is the dashboard correct in that it displays how many Plat years I have behind me, and not counting the one I am in right now? If so, will I have to wait until I finish my 10th year of Platinum to get my status updated? That doesn't seem to correspond with the experience of most others here.
Thanks!!
