Is that a recent change to the benefits? It may also be useful to have the web team clarify that as part of the Plat Benefits webpage.
"Complimentary Sheraton Club / Executive-Level Access

Quite frankly, I found the breakfast a bit lacking during a stay in September '16 which was as I understand just after they implemented it. The full breakfast at the Phoenician was more to my liking.

Canyon Suites at the Phoenician: a much more intimate and exclusive experience (34 Photos)
Canyon Suites At Phoenician
While staying at the Phoenician Residences, I had the opportunity to check out the Canyon Suites at the Phoenician.
The Canyon Suites is a much smaller hotel within the larger almost 600 room Phoenician Resort--there are only 60 total rooms and suites. It is undoubtedly a much more exclusive and intimate experience than staying at the overall Phoenicial Resort.
The Canyon Suites has its own separate area with its own lobby building and reception, its own breakfast/lounge that converts to a bar in the evenings, its own smaller pool area with bungalows, and its own spa/jacuzzi. All of those are entirely for the exclusive use of only Canyon Suites guests.
Room
I was shown a 2 bedroom suite despite the property being completely sold out. The second (double) bedroom is almost exactly like any other regular room at the Canyon Suites.
There are pool view rooms/suites and canyon view rooms/suites.
Suite entry:
Suite living room:
Suite dining area:
Suite bedroom (built into the main room):
Suite master bath:
Suite balcony looking towards the pool:
Hallway between main suite room and added second bedroom:
Powder bath in the hallway:
The second bedroom comparable to any regular room in the Canyon Suites:
The bath looked exactly the same as the master bath (which also looked exactly the same as those in the regular Phoenician Resort).
All in all, the room and suite were very spacious and to a very good standard. Personally, I'm not sure the difference in view is a major factor here unless you'd care to avoid any possible pool view noise.
Service
The service at the Canyon Suites was more personal. YOu
Dining
Breakfast is served in the main reception building reserved only for Canyon Suites guests. (I didn't ask for the Platinum benefit, sorry.) At night, that same area turns into a bar area and some treats are left for all guests, as well.
Overall
With the Phoenician Resort having almost 600 rooms/suites, the appeal of the more intimate Canyon Suites is obvious.
Suites are extremely spacious with good quiet AC that does not create hurricane force winds. Parking is underground which keeps your car out of the hot sun, eliminates any parking lot views, and eliminates the need for valet parking (for me anyway). In fact you might have to walk farther to avail yourself of valet parking.
My first stay at the resort was when it still had the original décor. Although it would likely look dated now, it was my favorite as it blended in well with the entire room and there were modest touches of southwest décor. If you look at bhrubin's photos you can see certain things just don't match well... such as the crown molding, closet doors, bathtub, etc. That is because those are holdovers from the original design. They had a renovation probably 10 years ago that gave the rooms a more "Metropolitan" look, which was IMHO pretty terrible. The current style in bhrubin's photos was done a year or two ago and is not bad... but as with most renovations I have noted in the last 5 years... has been done with saving dollars as a primary motivator.
Here is is the original decor... perhaps a bit dated, but it is also cohesive.
Still, one of my favorite places to just do nothing except sit on the large balcony all day (rooms with direct pool view of course much, much nicer than the last sell room bhrubin was shown with a view of the pool mechanicals room). Pool noise not a major issue during my stays, but always possible to get a bad bunch of guests. View across the golf course lake to valley used to be very nice too, but not sure now as they have constructed a new recreation building that might have compromised the view.
