Theoretically he could be invited into one of the FCLs by an eligible customer. Fairly unlikely, but not completely impossible.

Isn't there also an Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge? *G or business passengers on *A should have access.

If arriving in the morning the OP will have access to the Welcome Lounge. After the lounge I'd go to Mainz and return to the airport in the evening. Check the relevant thread on the LH forum about the Welcome Lounge.

ItŽs very nice, and except for the bar very competitive with the SEN lounge IMO.
And yes, C/J and *G pax can access the MLL.

OP here on this chunk of the thread, so I have once again listened to The Great Seth and am off to Mainz for the day instead of airport Hilton. Plan is to hit the LH arrivals lounge (right?), hose down, eat, train to Mainz, see the city, hit the gym (Hyatt day rate) and then head back to the airport. Any dissenters?

The Gutenberg museum is small but very cool. Get the audio tour IMO.

If my question is stupid or was answered in the past - sorry. I'm flying on LH ticket in economy, but second leg is operated by TAP. Do I have the access to FRA LH's business lounge on my FTL silver card or not? Thank you

Frequent Travellers, who are travelling in Economy Class on a scheduled flight operated by one of the Star Alliance airlines, can enjoy their stay at the airport in one of the Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa or SWISS Business Lounges as well as in the lounges belonging to Miles & More partners Brussels Airlines, Luxair* (*Only in connection with a scheduled flight operated by Austrian Airlines/Tyrolean Airways, Lufthansa, Luxair or SWISS.) and LOT Polish Airlines** (**Only in connection with a scheduled flight by Austrian Airlines/Tyrolean Airways, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa or SWISS).
My read is that you are OK since it is a Lufthansa-operated lounge and you are flying a *A partner.

MLL on arrival from Canada?
Out of curiousity, is it possible to use the Maple Leaf Lounge when arriving from Canada?
I'll be arriving on an AC flight then transferring to a Schengen LH flight to Spain, about a 2 hour connection. I'd like to freshen up with a shower and lunch if possible.
I get the impression from reading some postings that the MLL is slightly better than the normal Lufthansa business lounges -- stand to be corrected though. My main consideration for "better" would be food.
Does it complicate things with the MLL being the foreign side of immigration?

Yes, the AC MLL is nicer than the LH business class lounges and the food offering is better.
YouŽd have to re-clear security first upon arrival to get into the non-Schengen B area (where the MLL is located) which is reasonably easy (just follow signs to gates ~B40). When you leave the MLL, youŽd need to clear passport control and proceed to your MAD gate. There may be be yet another security check when doing this, not sure though.

It turns out the booking has changed and I'll be connecting through Zurich on the way out. The MLL will have to wait for the trip home.
