SIN-SYD 0045 was sleeper service within past 12 months. super annoying. but also very lightly loaded. wife was solo passenger in December, and we have been only 2 also in 2016. think everyone knows the 815pm flight is better if you're looking to get a full meal service!

I think I've never had breakfast on that sector in so many years of flying SQ. I don't even remember that it's just continental BF! Usually I BTC my dinner main and ask them not to heat it up, save it for later if I can't sleep and feel hungry. Otherwise with a 830PM departure I usually have my dinner at the Virgin lounge, then only have an abbreviated dinner service (no main, just the starter and maybe cheese or dessert), and sleep. The few times where I do want to eat something at breakfast service I ask for just a bowl of cereal, no linen service, which has confused the FAs on more than one occasion! Hah.

BTC is not available on SIN-CPT flight...

Subj. Flight departs in 2 weeks. Is this is feature or bug?

Am flying LHR-SIN in Suites in a month and a half and have selected Lobster Thermidor via BTC for the lunch service.

However, the only selection for BTC for Breakfast is Pad Thai. Would the onboard menu for breakfast be similar to what is served on FRA-SIN in Suites for breakfast?

So I'm not a seafood eater..... I'm flying SYD-SIN and then SIN-HKG-SFO.

I'm going to try the curry lamb shank SYD-SIN I think.

I'm debating between beef dishes SIN-HKG. Mainly considering the sousvide beef Yamato style, prime beef filet, or 6/8oz ribeye. Anyone have thoughts? Or another non-seafood/non-fish recommendation?

Also, for breakfast HKG-SFO, the only BTC is chicken scallop congee. I see some breakfast items in the Yummy for Kids section. Do they have Western breakfast selections on the standard meal menu as well?

I thought it was on all flights out of SIN? Did you phone them up to ask?

Hi Parachute07

Between all the beef options, I would recommend stewed (i.e. Yamato style) rather than grilled (does poorly after reheating, IMHO). I had a similar Sukiyaki style wagyu ex NRT and those were basically moist, tender slices of wagyu in Japanese sauce. Do post pics of your eventual choice

For HKG-SFO, they do have Western breakfast selections. I gather you are flying F: there will be 4 options: fresh eggs, asian option, western option and either asian or western usually. The western option is normally a permutation of pancake, french toast, brioche toast, egg dish such as quiche with breakfast meat etc. In J there are 3 options (the above minus fresh eggs).

Checked. Only breakfast is available for BTC due to late departure.

There is not BTC on JNB-SIN.

So would you recommend avoiding the Wagyu Sirloin with Eringi Mushroom
out of SIN? I've narrowed my selection down to either that, the Sous Vide Yamato Style Beef, or the Curry Patta Lobster.

Thanks!

haven't tried the others, but big fan of the curry patta lobster if you like spicy food

Recent BTC experiences on SQ25/26 (JFK-FRA-SIN & v.v.)

From FRA:
Suckling pig with dark beer sauce -- good
Bresse chicken with morel polenta -- good
Honey glazed duckling -- good
Salmon gratinated with feta and parmesan cheese -- alright (a little over-cooked)

From JFK:
U.S. Grilled Prime Beef Fillet -- great

From SIN:
Seared Nut-Crusted Veal Fillet -- not so great (meat was dry)

Anyone else having problems selecting BTC for different legs?

I'm flying SYD-SIN, SIN-SFO return and it is only letting me select BTC meals on the first leg, with the other legs showing up at SYD-SIN with no flight numbers attached when I try to select them

Have a bit of time up my sleeve as not travelling until Sept
