how do you tell whether a flight has full or light meal service?

Agreed. I still assume that there are better and worse seats.

If travelling alone, 2A/K and 3A/K are generally the preferred seats, since 1A/K is somewhat overlooked by the staircase (although only flight attendants will use it) and 4A/K are closer to the galley.

If travelling with someone else, then either of the middle seat pairs will be fine.

Thanks! Maybe try snagging a middle seat and hope for an empty cabin to enjoy the double bed?

It's not a true double bed (wooden divider running down the middle), so I would personally just stick with a window and enjoy the views.

There is also the risk of the flight becoming full, with no window seats left and you would be stuck in the middle block...

Generally, daytime flights will have at least one full meal service.

It's the short, 7-8 hour red-eyes that have a rushed supper so that you can eat quickly and then go to bed.

3A/K are my preference when travelling alone. They have three windows instead of two at 2A/K.

Agreed. I selected 3K for both my flights to NRT next year.

I also recommend 3A/3F (not "K", for posterity's sake! ) since it has 3 windows.

As has been said before, there is no bad seat - but I did think that Row 4 was a little nosier because of the galley. It wasn't loud like it would be on US airlines, but noticeable.

Agree. 3A is my favourite.

I booked 3A for next week's flight. I'm so looking forward to it!

This year I flew AKL-SIN in suites. I was the only F passenger. I was booked in 1A but they told me to move to 3A, as "that is the best seat".

*A award availability in J on 77W/380?

Does SQ release any biz class award seats for *A partner awards (I class) on the 77W and 380? I'm booked on an award ticket SIN-ICN-NRT with the SIN-ICN on the SQ 333 and the ICN-NRT on OZ. If an award seat opens up on the direct SIN-NRT with SQ, I was hoping to change, but wasn't sure if this ever happens.

Many of the older posts from 5-10 years ago say that SQ doesn't open award availability to *A partners in I/O on the 77W and 380, but I didn't see anything recent. Is this still the case? Do they ever release award seats on the direct SIN-NRT on 77W/380 for *A I class awards?

SQ doesn't release premium seats on 77W or A380 for partner redemptions.

Someone mentioned it before and I have seen it as well, there is A380 HKG-SIN availability sometimes, but never SIN-HKG it seems.
