Hey thanks for that. Looks like we have similar travel plans. I'm heading to KIX next month and on to CTS after that. Le Tao with 10x Citi Rewards - ohhh yes - Double Frommage here I come .
I will keep the ANA Festa in mind too, but I agree in general I use a 2mls/$ card abroad for most spend in Japan unless it is a department store like Daimaru, Isetan or Taka where it should work okay on Citi Rewards. Too much hassle.

LeTao's transaction from Citi PM becomes this:
09/09/2014 *SHINCHITOSE AIRPORT TERM HOKKAIDO JP JPY 390 SGD 4.78
Jersey Brown's transaction from Citi PM becomes this:
09/09/2014 *SHINCHITOSE AIRPORT TERM HOKKAIDO JP JPY 350 SGD 4.28
Damn it!! Should charge to Citi Rewards Card, MCC code: 5311.
I still can remember the taste of that Hokkaido milk soft ice-cream. The milk taste is SOOOOOOOOOOO RICH!!! YUMMY!!

use citi rewards card for suits and business tailor in BKK.
it was not considered clothes but as tailor. tailoring is not considering clothings even though some in singapore like marcella advertise for citi cards for additional rewards which i think, may not receive 10x points too!

I made another transaction for dinner at the basement foodcourt at SHIN KONG MITSUKOSHI Dept in Taipei, they accept PayWave and luckily I use PayWave with UOB PPV. The MCC code is not 5311 but 5812 Eating places and Restaurants. Luckily I did not charge to Citi Rewards Card. I can charge it to UOB Preferred AMEX if they accepted AMEX. I bought soft ice-cream at a shop at the food court level and charge it to Citi Rewards card since it was <S$5 and its 5311!! Earns 10x Citidollars!!
The food court at Shin-Chitose airport Level 4's MCC is not 5812 but 5399 Misc. General Merchandise. Strange!!
This is even more strange. I bought inflight duty free on 2 different EVA Air flights. The 2nd transaction was charged to UOB PRVI Miles looks like this:
12 Sep 2014
16 Sep 2014
EVA AIRWAYS IN FLIGHT DUTTAIPEI CITY TW
TWD 410.00
SGD 17.86
MCC Code: 4511 Airlines, Air Carriers ( not listed elsewhere)
Earlier I mentioned:
10/09/2014
*EVA AIRWAYS CORPORATIO TAOYUAN TW TWD 410.00
SGD 17.71
This is for EVA Air SkyShop. http://eservice.evaair.com/Preorder/default.aspx
Cannot charge to Citi Rewards Card!!
MCC code is 3084: EVA Air!!
Both are for the Hello Kitty Jet jigsaw puzzle for different Hello Kitty Jets bought on different flights.

Does anyone know what the current situation is with UOB and the 10x points awarded for Paywave transactions using the PPV card?
Some people on the HDZ forum have reported that they no longer receive 10x points because they have reached the annual spending limit for the bonus points. Previously it was implied that the limit would kick in for all transactions from July 1 onwards, but people are saying that they have had all their 2014 transactions counted towards this limit.
Is this simply a case of bad luck for a handful of people or a general overhaul of the annual limit policy to cover previous transactions before July 1?

Quick question on UOB - I saw the credit card spreadsheet, it says the eBay earns 10X points for PPV, but Paypal doesn't.
But my eBay is linked to Paypal, and I use Paypal to pay for my purchases. (99% of pple do that).
So how? Does that mean I don't get the 10X points?
Anybody can help answer this question?

If surely this is the case, we should collectively lodge complaints to MAS for such poor faith by UOB.

Last time they put "Wef 01 July 2014, there is a cap of 24,000 UNI$ etc etc etc"
Now they change it to: "The 10X UNI$ for online and Visa payWave transactions is capped at UNI$24,000 for both categories per calendar year. After which, 1X UNI$ will be awarded for every $5 spent."
Meaning, they change to to wef 01 Jan 2014.

I noticed the terms & conditions changed a bit.

Wow this change must be recent as I just got my 10X Paywave posting fine sometime last week.
So after an unlimited amount of 10X down to 2K per month for the rest of the year, they have now essentially rendered some of our cards useless for the end of the year!?

There seems to be a bit of confusion about though it doesn't seem to have affected everyone. I just got my bill and everything seems fine in terms of 10X Paywave. But I'll be checking my points tally online every week from now on to make sure I haven't been cut off at any point...
