just got back from safeway and they had a $25 off $150 in GC's plus 4x fuel points but no MC. I bought amazon and ebay but turns out only amazon counts.

Safeway still has this promo on mastercard gift cards. Just bought a $100 and the 10$ cert printed out just fine.
Sidenote, my safeway has a promo of if buying $150 in cards, get $25 cert for next grocery purchase. Excludes cash cards though, can post a pic of the terms/conditions if you guys' want. My store is in Tysons Corner, VA

So $150 in merchant gift cards? That's actually not bad, since there are no fees for that. Might pick up some ARCO gift cards if my store has 'em.

Unfortunately, it's not all gift cards. It's only for some stores, but most notably Amazon, Lowe's, iTunes, Sears, Regal, Applebee's, JCP, Macy's, Nike, Nordstrom, Groupon, Kohl's, Olive Garden, Staples. No gas companies make the list of participating partners. But if any of the above appeal to you, then this isn't a bad deal. I can get 6% cash bad with AMEX BCP, and I get 4x on gas rewards. If I buy $150 in Amazon cards, I get a $25 Vons voucher (good for purchases >$50) AND $0.60 off each gallon of gas for my next fill-up at a Vons location (or $0.20 off at Chevron for 3 fill-ups; either/or, worth $10 to me) AND $9 back from AMEX BCP.

Same terms as daveinla posted in my store. Was hoping they had Walmart cards. It couldn't find any. Amazons maybe the next best thing but might hold back on this one, sitting on about 1k of visa/mastercard cards.

Anybody seen this promo at a Dominick's here in the midwest? They ran the MC one last year, but I didn't see any mention of this round of promos when I was at one over the weekend. And no, no mention in the weekly flyers either.

Just picked up $150 Amazon GC (100+50). Coupon printed out for $25 off $50. Expires in one week.

$25 off of Safeway groceries with $150 gift card purchase
This deal worked for me more than once in Arlington stores. The ad says that you get the $25 coupon per transaction, so pretty nice if you need to buy gift cards and you can stock up on Safeway goods. The problem is that you have to spend the $25 coupon within a week, so keep that in mind.

Just to follow up on my own question last week, I stopped at a Dominick's today, and they had $10 off $50 coupon for every transaction with over $100 in merchant GC purchases only. So no Visa/MC purchases for me. Looked like promo period was yesterday (11/22) until 12/4.

Same at Vons in SoCal. Picked up a $500 Visa. Coupon says any gift card this time.
