Rangoon to New York

For example, I can have it routed over BKK and CPH, for 132$ base fare... with all YQ it comes to 826$, in Business class.. not too bad!

Now, if getting to Rangoon would be as easy as getting to BKK, I might really be tempted..
route it via FRA or LHR and it will be cheaper. 380 euros all in C OW

1. Obtaining a Myanmar visa does not appear to be a simple task.
2. Time for a new thread?

excellent mistake fares O.o

O/W RT all combos from 600 bucks.
I even see KF RGN to YVR F for 200 bucks.
Here comes another one.
Any tips on booking? Expedia and Orbitz don't process Rangoon. So do most of the other alliance airlines.
I was playing around with a one-way RGN-YVR in Dec (Sales city NYC), one option priced the RGN-BKK at USD $32,872.57 That's okay, the positioning flight to RGN would have been a doozy...

Btw, haven't been able to spot the $200 fares. Dates? Purely academic interest. Saw $400, though. In any case, methinks somebody misplaced their comma :-D Just have to how folks will try to take advantage of this fare. Myanmar isn't exactly on the beaten summer vacation path!

I presume you meant Myanmar, as opposed to Myrtle Beach

One ways I was looking at in November to NYC were in the $400-$1000 for J/C/D on various airlines. AI, NH, mixed carriers, etc. Why does it have to be from RGN.....always wanted to go there but not sure if I want to do it on a mistake fare.

I'm looking into that. I have sent emails to two Myanmar (Myanmese?) Embassies and I'm awaiting a response. However, reports on Trip Advisor even suggest that getting an email response is hit-and-miss.

But Myanmar is just opening up now.. maybe that's their welcome greetings

This one is too good to pass us. Plus I get to position it with another CX First flight. HawaiiO, thanks for the tip on vayama.com. I booked one in November, including the ICN-LAX A380. $250 ai for 8,000 miles of KE First!! Anyone else up for a DO? Mrs. SFO told me I'm on my own on this one.
