Any news about amankila? Was there last June, when a few projects were underway. IIRC, a new fitness pavilion and possibly a proper Spa.

Will be going back in March. Wondering what might be new or different.

I just booked a stay at Amanemu on it's opening... Will report back.

In the mean time, I wonder if anyone has contact info about Amanemu's GM or management. I would like to get in touch with them before I visit.

The GM is Hisayo who is a lady Mr Zecha met on a first class flight when she was still working for ANA. Her email is [email protected]
I plan to visit Amanemu this year so I'm really looking for your report. Have a great time in Japan.

Nothing of significance as yet , unless you consider some kids area by the library which I didn't see .
Still waiting for that spa . At least " some architects have been showing up " .

It should be a new menu by then but as you know , requesting off menu is done & the team takes it in their stride
This is beyond their control , but the bottles of water in room are now in smaller plastic bottles as the manufacturer does not do glass any more .

If you recall Sandra W , Tristan K ( Director of F and B ) came onboard last year along with young chef Vincent .

Think not much change since Claudia ' s brief stint but some soon .

Then Tapa T moving to Aman SS , will sure miss Jane & him at Pulo
But Kevin B leaving Aman

re adding spas etc, seems aman owns 50%+ of all indonesia properties?

speaking of kila, while looking people up i came across this on tripadvisor >
I arrived at Amankila as an 'Aman Sceptic' yet by the time I left, I was a true convert

Bagh - Karin v Z , GM

Pulo - keep fingers crossed
Wella - Filipe L , GM

Indon Amans are privately Indon or government owned / linked , with some Aman worked in . National policy in play here ..

That's a real shame. I really liked him and was talking to him only a few weeks ago at the London Aman event. In retrospect, I now realise I was boring him by going on and on about how much we love Amanpulo.

Yes , a shame for us who really like Pulo like they do too ( doubt you were boring him ) . But Tapa T is at least staying in the team & overseeing Aman SS soon .
Now am debating when to return to Pulo , perhaps skip this year if I don't make it within the month, as Tapa won't be there .

Glad you made it to the event ^ . Was hoping more Amanjunkies reading this here would have gone too as it was one of the largest so far .
