I wish FRA had a connection planner website like Heathrow: http://www.heathrow.com/flight-connections
Thanks for your help!

Appreciate your help! Thanks.

As a data point:
Arrived A42 Terminal 1 on Austrian with checked baggage and I managed to pick up my bags and make the transfer to Terminal 2 check-in in 45-50 minutes. Although I was lucky and my bag was one of the first delivered to the baggage claim.

It helps if you try and find out LH flight numbers since all your flights are operated by Lufthansa and LH flight numbers are primarily used for gate announcements, etc. You can also use the LH flight numbers on Lufthansa's flight status page to find which gates are usually used by these flights.
UA8844 = LH457
UA9330 = LH824
UA9095 = LH865
UA8845 = LH456
Your flights from/to LAX usually use Z gates. CPH and OSL flights use A gates or bus gates. A gates and Z gates are in the same concourse on different floors. You need to go through passport control in both directions between the flights and possibly security check for your flight back to the US. If your flight from OSL arrives at a bus gate follow the signs for your departure gate and you'll be taken through all necessary check points.
Unless your flight arrives very late you should be fine for both connections.

Thank you, Newbierunner!.
Since Z is just upper level of A, I would just have to take an elevator and not the tunnel/sky train etc?
Thanks!

On Sun 9/27 I'm flying:
LH103: MUC-FRA arriving 12:05pm (if relevant: in economy / Mileageplus Gold)
DL107: FRA-JFK departing 1:45pm (if relevant: in business via Global Upgrade / DL Diamond)
So, looks like I have a 100 minute layover to get from Terminal 1 Gate A to Terminal 2 Gate D, but I'm having trouble understanding how long that transfer will take me. Given a US passport, no checked luggage, and a willingness to run, what's the most delayed I could be on MUC-FRA, to still make FRA-JFK? I don't want to take a later FRA-JFK flight, so I'm wondering if I should bite the bullet and change to an earlier MUC-FRA flight (not sure why I didn't book that earlier originally)

Flights from MAN usually arrive at a B gate but the evening flight (LH947) sometimes arrives at a Z gate. Today and tomorrow it's expected to be bus arrival in A.
If your flight from MAN arrives at a Z gate there's no need to clear security or passport control. If it's bus arrival in A you have to go up escalators on your left and go through security check. If you arrive at a B gate, you have to walk to the Skyline platform, go to the stop for A/Z and clear security.
It is inconsistent but that's due to the layout of the airport. Arrivals from the UK should not need to re-clear security but unless you arrive at a Z gate you cannot avoid security.

I assume there is no problem (barring unforeseen circumstances, of course) with a Schengen to Frankfurt flight connecting to a US-bound flight operated by LH with a 1 hour layover? Flying F but not HON. Two able-bodied adults.

If your flight is 30 minutes late they may arrange a direct transfer via passport control. Whether your checked baggage (if you have any) will make it is another matter.

No baggage. This is tight but the other option is 4h45 minutes layover; I'd rather risk spending the night in Frankfurt. Thanks for the response.

Security and Immigration at FRA
So quick question
I'm arriving at FRA from LHR on LH921 Saturday after next at 9am and then I'm leaving to Athens on LH1280 at 1130am
This will be Non-Schengen to Schengen.
Do you know where LHR flights arrive ? Is it B or Z gates ? Do I have to clear security as well as immigration or it will be immigration only?
I guess my flight to Athens will be leaving from A Gates.
How long are the immigration queues on a Saturday morning? I guess not that long. Only reason I'm asking is to find out whether I can spend time at one of the B senator lounges.
Thanks

How long are the immigration queues on a Saturday morning? I guess not that long. Only reason I'm asking is to find out whether I can spend time at one of the B senator lounges.
Thanks
I'm arriving at FRA from LHR on LH921 Saturday after next at 9am and then I'm leaving to Athens on LH1280 at 1130am
This will be Non-Schengen to Schengen.
Do you know where LHR flights arrive ? Is it B or Z gates ? Do I have to clear security as well as immigration or it will be immigration only?
I guess my flight to Athens will be leaving from A Gates.

I don't recommend going to the Senator Lounge in B as it will mean going through security twice. Go to A and use the SEN lounge there (between duty-free shops and gate A50).

LHR flights usually arrive at B gates. Occasionally evening flights from the UK arrive at Z gates but you will have to clear security and passport control unless your flight arrives at a Z gate (in which case passport control only). Security queues are usually longer than passport control queues.
