I tried to find this answer but am confused over Shengen and non Shengen if I have a US passport. I am traveling from Ljubljana to London on Lufthansa. I go from Ljubljana to Frankfurt and then Frankfurt to London with about 90 minutes between flights. It looks like arrival and departure are terminal 1 in Frankfurt. Do I have to go thru passport control? Also as platinum on One World are there any lounges I can use?
FRA T1 is almost exclusively LH and *A airlines. There is no lounge in T1 you have access to as platinum on One World. There may be one in T2 but with 90 minutes between the flights you are unlikely to have the time to take advantage.

US based airlines obviously fly back to the US but LH aircraft arriving from the US (or anywhere for that matter) don't necessarily fly back to the same airport where it came from. In fact arriving gates are often selected based on the aircraft's next destination rather than its origin. So it's quite efficient because they don't have to move empty airplanes around but not always convenient for the passengers.
I'd be shocked if -- for all the years LH departed U.S. flights from what are now Z11-25 -- all of those aircraft came-in from non-Schengen countries OTHER than the USA in order to position them perfectly for a U.S. departure.
So, that's my question -- anyone here experience an arrival on LH from a U.S. city where the aircraft docked at the A/Z pier, but passengers were bused to BNS?

I don't think the layout of the terminal allows it in Pier B and as far as I can tell there's no way anybody arriving at a non-Schengen B gate can go to a departure gate in any concourse without going through the central transfer area (at the top of the escalator from the B bus gates). It is annoying because the UK is a clean NS country but most flights from the UK arrive at B gates.
Is that not what happens now in Z11-25 when a NS "clean" arrival parks there?

I'm confused... could passengers coming off a NS arrival to B-gates (from a "clean country, of course) not physically walk into the B concourse (departures area) just the same as they do now at Z11-25? If nothing else, they'd go into the terminal via the same route departing passengers walk onto the aircraft.
Is that not what happens now in Z11-25 when a NS "clean" arrival parks there?

Aeroplan was able to find me a Lufthansa business class availability on March 4th so I did not have to have a layover of 24 hours. Thanks a lot guys for all your help.

Assuming the two travelling YUL-MUC-FRA-DEL are *G, they have access to the Senator Lounges but 1 hour 20 mins in FRA does not give you much time in the lounge. It would be best to go and join the rest of the party in the Business Lounge. Each *G can invite one guest into a Senator Lounge but depending on the age of the nephew they may not allow you to take a third guest.

Although B23 is closer to the central/transfer area of Pier B than many other gates it's quite a long walk (for your mother-in-law) to the Skyline platform B/C. I suggest you make use of a golf-cart for this section.
The departure gate of UA51 is now shown as Z23 which is considerably further than Z13 but there are walkways in this part of the terminal. However, it looks like they have centralized security in Pier Z and from the Skyline platform to Z23 may be about 800 meters as you will have to backtrack.
You will find a detailed PDF map of A/Z pier here. If you can download the FRA Airport app it contains the most accurate map of FRA I have come across. Check the first post for details.

Here is our experience.
We landed a few minutes before time, around 9 AM.
We decided to use the golf-cart services, and it was 10:25 AM before we arrived at Z 17 from where UA 51 was departing (there were four stops in between); it was not a gate departure, but rather two levels of steps down, then to a bus, then up the stairway on the plane which was parked in the middle of a few planes.
We were among the last to "board" at Z17, which meant no time to use the airport restrooms!
And, there was another old couple who were about to be dropped off a little further down, and their flight was at 10:30 scheduled departure (did not know if they made it). Plus, in one of the stops, after waiting for a while, one person went to the restroom and wouldn't you know it, right after he went in, they came to get him (and, since he was not there, picked up the next in line passengers).

If your flight from MCO arrives at a Z gate you should not need to re-clear security. If it arrives at a C gate you will have to clear security. You will also have to go through passport control.
You can check where SK flights usually depart from by entering the origin and destination on LH's flight status (aka Arrival & Departure) page. Most SK flights to CPH appear to depart from A gates but some seem to depart from B bus gates. (Please see the pictorial guide above.)
The best lounge for you will be the Schengen Senator Lounge which is immedicately below the non-Schengen Senator Lounge. It's slightly hidden on the way to gate A50.

The latest info on LH.com is that we will arrive from the US in Z, and depart from FRA to CPH at B11 which I believe is a bus gate. I do not see that there is a lounge in the Schengen area of B. Will we have any convenient lounge options for a quick breakfast and possible shower before heading to B11 for departure (only about 2 hours connection time)?
Thanks!

BIO-FRA-LAX; J to F
I was hoping for some guidance on my connection in FRA for an upcoming flight with a tight connection. I searched the routing for posts but the details are a few years old. I apologize if this has been answered previously.
I'm arriving from BIO in J (LH 1147) into FRA, then on to LAX in F (LH 456). Connection time is 50 mins.
Can I expect FRA F's ground connection services even though I will arrive in J? Or, is that only for arrivals in F?
Thanks in advance!

But if your incoming flight is a jetbridge arrival you will be on your own. Since you will be arriving from Schengen all you need to do is to go through passport control. Your flight from BIO is likely to arrive at an A gate and the LAX flight is likely to depart from a Z gate, so it will be a matter of going upstairs through passport control.

There is no ground connection service as such for First Class passengers in FRA. If your incoming flight arrives at a remote stand they may pick you up and drive you to the main terminal regardless of your class of travel as long as you are connecting in F. They will also drive you to your flight from the FCT or FCL B if you have the time to visit these lounges.
