Please read these before asking your question in the thread.
  1. Q. If I book a stay using IHG points, does that count as a "stay" towards my Into The Nights offers?
    A. No.

  2. Q. If I book a stay using a cash and points rate, does that count as a "stay" towards my Into The Nights offers?
    A. No.

  3. Q. Will stays booked via a consolidator (like TravelPony) or other public travel portal or points portal count towards this promo?
    A. No. Your stays must be booked directly with IHG on their website or on their app. However, if you are booking through your corporate portal at work, this may post if such stays usually earn you base points.

  4. Q. How long will it take for my points to post?
    A. Normally they post within a week or two.

  5. Q. How long after stay points post to my IHG account is it until my personal Into the Nights dashboard is updated showing progress in my offers?
    A. The Tuesday after the stay points post to account. (edit: has been Thursday lately, November)

  6. Q. Where can I find the Bonus Point package with Breakfast rate?
    A. Click here to book Bonus Points Package with (or without) Breakfast rate.

    NOTE: Make sure that your email confirmation states something like this:

    Rate Description: Exclusive to IHG Rewards Club members.     Otherwise you booked the wrong rate type. This type of rate also comes in a 1000 point version.

  7. Q. I registered for this promotion before 10/20/2014 and my tasks changed! (E.g., "book a stay with the app" became "book 9 stays with the app").
    A. See this post from IHG's FlyerTalk representative.

  8. Q. Does a Holiday Inn Express stay count as a Holiday Inn stay?
    A. No

  9. Q. What are the conditions for the free nights being awarded?
    A. Free nights must be redeemed by December 31st, 2015 and must be claimed by January 31st, 2015 or members will automatically be awarded applicable points. Free Nights can only be used in participating IHG hotels and may not be transferred. A Free Night is valid only for one standard room night rate and applicable taxes (not including breakfast). Redemption is subject to availability of the rooms of hotels specially provided for this promotion. The hotel rooms hotels specially provided for this promotion shall be determined at IHG’s discretion.

  10. Q.I chose the 2 free nights award, how do I book them?
    A. Go to your My Account page on ihg.com (after logging in). On the left hand masthead you will see an option labeled "Free Night Status". The page will show how many free nights you have available and provides a way to book the nights. Note that it's a bit clumsy -- an initial search will show that the lowest price is Free, but until you click thru you won't know if it's really available for your preferred nights.

  11. Q. Can I trade the free nights?
    A. Not on FlyerTalk. They are specifically designated non-transferable.

Post #2585 has a link to the Dashboard. You can "Claim" free nights there.

Please update the FAQ as seems expedient.

I have a promo of stay 2 times and get 1 free night, and stay other 2 times and get another free night.

I have a trip soon and its for 4 nights. I have two options. Crowne plaza or holiday inn, my question is:

If I stay 1 night at the crowne and 3 at the holiday would this count as 2 stays?

TIA

Another question... The free nights are valid for how long? 1 year? I am getting married end of next year and I am debating if getting the points or the free nights for my honey moon...

From what you describe:
1 night at Crowne = 1 stay
3 nights at HI = 1 stay
So, 1+1=2 stays

1 year, usually. The points do not expire. The free nights are subject to availability. So if you are planning your honeymoon you could literally call where you want to stay and they can say, "Sorry - free nights are not available on those dates...."

I have two tasks:

1. Stay two Saturdays
2. 3 Stays

Are the two saturdays included in the 3 stays? Does it mean I only need to have 3 stays which two of them are Saturdays is enough? Or 5 stays?

My dashboard for Into The Nights has finally started showing activity for stays I completed just over 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately there's something weird about the progress report for this offer:

Download and book on the IHG App
Download and sign in to the IHG App and book a stay. The IHG App allows you to get mobile-exclusive rates, access your virtual membership card and more.
The wording of this task clearly requires ONE stay. But having booked one stay this way, the progress gauge shows I have completed only 5% of the task.

It's crazy to imagine they want me to complete 20 stays booked through the app considering my "Stay more" task is only 11 nights total.

Exactly the same here. These IHG promos with all the bugs and stuff are so tiresome that I'm done trying to complete them.

I'm not saying I will stop staying at IHG completely but in my opinion, as long as promos are as complicated as this one and latest Big Wins or whatever they were called, they fail to make me stay one single extra night at IHG properties.

Many might be better off using the time trying to make sense of how exactly a particular promo works to do some actual work and BUY the points instead

Did anyone see progress on this:

Book and pay for 1 stay(s) with your IHG® Rewards Club Black Visa® and earn 1,500 bonus points.
Stay itself posted, but even though it was paid with the above card - this still shows as 0.

Yes I've got that one. I've had one stay so far and it posted to the dashboard yesterday but next to this task the little circle says two. The requirement is only for one stay to be booked and it shows as achieved.

So same task but slightly different issue.

There is a long way to go with the promo, I've kept all the information on a spreadsheet and will see how it's looking mid December. There is no point in asking IHG just now as there are clearly issues that they are trying to sort and there is three months left before the promo finishes.

I would prefer the tracker to be accurate but it won't end my world tbh and I don't see it as that much of an issue that I'm about to start changing my travel plans as a result.

IHG though should make it easy on themselves and write into the terms of promotions like this that no points etc will be awarded before January 1st when the promotion has finished, that would then give them time to make sure things are tracking correctly and give themselves time to iron out the issues. I can only imagine the telephone calls and emails that will occur this morning after what appears to have been a mammoth sweep of the system yesterday.

I think it might be also an issue of IHG Visa card not appearing on the list of cards when making a booking?

I don't think that's the issue tbh as even with no drop down option the card is easily recognisable by the first six digits all they would have to do is run a sweep for reservations done with cards starting 492912

Plus they obviously have all the card details from the bonus points that posted last week.

When was the stay?

Does anyone know if a booking using a Partner Rate (30% off) will qualify as a stay towards the Into The Nights promo?
