All USA national holidays, particularly Christmas, are high demand times for Hawaii.

They will probably only add their reward night inventory after they open as a Holiday Inn. I have noticed this for other properties that have been rebranded and/or newly built.

Holiday Inn relaunched itself. This result in Holiday Inn sub-brands (includes Graden Court, Sunspree, Select...) will be disappearing within years and some of which will rebrand to Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Resorts and some will be let go.

Darn... too bad it's not 15k, like the Maldives

I guess that's not *bad* considering it's Hawaii... :P

I wish they had something in Maui

long time lurker here, just learning my way around ihg (thx to HH!) Booked my first paid stay at this hotel, filled out best rate guarantee, and was denied on the grounds that lower rate must be same hotel, outrigger is a different hotel company, its website wouldn't offer rates for ihg hotels. Anyone know if one can get prioroty club credit booking through outrigger?

Showing for November stays 25,000 (or 15k + $60) and room rates pretty darn reasonable..(for 11/30/10 AAA rates $130.50 for boring view-$180.50 for Ocean View king).

I'm personally waiting for point stretchers...

Welcome to FT dencoflyer!

Stayed there in 2005

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in 2005, may have had even different ownership then. I do remember great location but also the need to carefully pick your room as some are very noisy (we changed rooms and then were fine)

Anybody know whats going on with this property? Now you cant book a paid stay or points stay. The reservation center says the opening as a Holiday Inn has been put on temporary hold.

Yes. On Oahu I would love to see Turtle Bay as CP or perhaps even IC.
The upcoming Venetian arrangement gives me hope that they will have smth similar in HI as well - I am sure ICH wants to have some presence there.
