It's probably only valid for dates that the OP chose, since the promo code is actually a group rate for the MommyCon attendees.

$29 is not unusual for the flamingo, but it would be unusual that it's a renovated room type.

Always scared to walk through to El Cortez. There's that little area between fremont street and el cortez that always feels so sketchy.

It's ONE night of credit. Additional nights are $30, no credit.

If you're looking for a room over the Dec 14 weekend, go to Hotwire RIGHT NOW and pick the 4* South Strip hotel for $27 with FREE internet (rate available on a Friday and Saturday night). It's either the Luxor or Tropicana. If you have an Entertainment 2013 book, you can use a $20 rebate coupon, too. I'd pick that ANYTIME over the El Cortez...and it's a weekend.
