Unless the rooms have gotten worst, I stayed at the Circus Circus 3 years ago in one of the newly renovated rooms and I must say the room was pretty nice.

has anyone stayed at the mgm grand of late? plenty of nice offers and the rooms seem to look updated and very nice --particularly the larger rooms like grand queen suite and the bigger double queen rooms. good photography or legit?

Pfft. Maybe for you but some visits I don't need and am not interested in spending an extra $100 or $200 per night for a room I just sleep in for a few hours.
Cosmo and Palazzo are nice but sometimes and for some people places like that are just not an option.
texasguy77 is right; the reno'd rooms are nice. The Manor Motor Lodge rooms in the lowrise building can be bad. The tower rooms, especially the Casino Tower which was most recently reno'd, are decent rooms. I don't know what people are talking about when they criticize CC. Maybe they have only ever been in the casino and a Lodge room. ?

They are nice. We used a myvegas reward to upgrade to a suite there and I was impressed. Not as good as MB but better than NYNY or MC. Very nice place. Casino was just sort of average. Pools and dining options were good.

Now this is an insanely good deal on one of the best hotels in the city. This gets you the Four Seasons for as low as $136 a night taxes in but not including the resort fee. Cheapest I have ever found there previously is $180 and it's normally $220 and up. And you can find cheap rates on even busy, holiday weekends. Hopefully the link works. Just tweak the dates on the left, look down the column a bit for Four Seasons. Best price will be on a 4 night stay. Looks like they charge upfront but this is refundable up to 48 hours before arrival.

Just FYI, even though Ballys advertises no resort fees the last time we stayed there they wanted to charge us $14/nt for Internet access and $3/nt to use the room safe. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...
I would call ahead to see if they still charge these non-resort fee resort fees and save yourself from any surprises.

TO EVERYONE
I THINK WE SHOULD STOP COMMENTING ON THE RELATIVE WORTH/ NICENESS OF HOTELS.
A) What may be a dump to you may be the perfect hotel to someone else
B) It may stop newer people from posting finds as some of the replies are not worded nicely leaving the OP a little hurt.
C) Everyone should know how to use tripadvisor and other resources to determine if hotel is suitable for their purpose.
Let us not do anything to stop the flow of information that someone takes the time to post

This kind of .... on the Trip Advisor forums actually drives me crazy because it's like most of the posters act like the rest of the site and all those millions (?) of reviews don't exist.

And I don't mean to be nasty but c'mon, you can't google Skyauction and Quickbook and figure this out?
This is similar to the crazy low rate this hotel had on LMT a couple years ago. We had a great stay. I don't know how this hotel does it's marketing but they pick some odd places to host their sales.
Oh and if it is a mistake rate (the low base rate mistakenly combined with the 4thday free offer) and your call messes that up for others, well, I've already booked.
