It is. Go look at the BetterBidding.com list.

Hmmm I guess so. Either way, I usually do Priceline to get it a bit more cheaper than Hotwire.

This may not considered a promo codes, but if codes save you $ than this should be considered.

Recent trip to Las Vegas resulted with a $15 early check in fee at 2pm. Won it back but this really got under my skin. Check out was posted as 11am too and nobody would budge on waiving it.

Harrahs and Caesars are the culprits of this new manipulative practice. Why manipulative? Buried under Terms & Conditions like hotel resort fees were, not to mention check out at 11am and check in has moved up to 4pm and most pools closed for season there is not much to do but gamble.

You can just check your luggage in for free and wait till 4pm. I've never had this before, and I've checked in as early as 6am before lol. Maybe some new practice to nickel and dime some more.

Minimum bidding for a 4* on Priceline is $40 (Luxor is 3.5* on Priceline, btw, of which there is a $25 minimum bid). You can not undercut this Hotwire rate bidding 4*on Priceline even with bonus money (if it is the Tropicana...unless you want to take the chance to get upgraded from a lower hotel class bid). If you have either a 2012 or 2013 Entertainment book there is a $20 rebate coupon for Hotwire hotels through their link (2012 book coupon expires at the end of this year, 2013 book coupon is valid now through the end of next year).

One thing I find about hotwire and priceline though. The best deals had are usually on the weekends or when prices are escalated like crazy such as an event day. Otherwise, using a promo code with something like dining credits seem to get the better deals.

Last time I was at the Luxor, they did not have Wi-Fi in the rooms. I guess if they had Wi-Fi, they would be a 5 Star.

Do they still have wired Internet access in the rooms? It used to be quite good few years ago.

Under different circumstances, I would have. But I flew redeye over Pacific connecting in LA and was attending Vegas conference which would be over by 5p. I really needed room to shower and change, go to meetings and then come back and take nap before another evening event.

I really did not have any choice but to pay and still felt 2pm to be normal check in, not early.

Plaza 12 cent rooms 12/12/12

Still figuring out the "catch" on this one, but consider it a legitimate deal and not some bait and switch. Good luck

The catch seems to be that you have to book two nights and the 12 cent promos is only on Tues.

Yeah..not a good deal. Some nights are $15 a night...I booked 3 nights for a friend that were $15 a night in january, where the $.12 promo would have been $30, $.12, $30, instead of $15, 15, 15.
