Hi cjd,
The hotel will join the Curio Collection late August 2014. I have not be provided a specific date, however. As soon as the property is operating as a Curio – A Collection by Hilton hotel, HHonors members will have the opportunity to redeem points and apply weekend certificates.
If I find out further information regarding opening dates, I will keep you in the loop!
Thanks,
Anthony

Donnak, I asked the same question a week or so ago in one of the other threads. It seems that the date it joins Hilton is still a bit vague. This was Anthony's reply:

That was the response I got as well, but I pushed for more clarificaton. It seems that as long as the stay occurs AFTER the SLS oficially joins Curio/HHonors, Hilton points and benefits will apply. This is still true for reservations made before the official join date through SLSLASVEGAS.COM... the date of the stay is the deciding factor, not when the reservation was made. This leaves me trying to decide if I want to move a stay in late September and early October from HGVC Strip to SLS... if the "Legendary" rate is still available on SLSLASVEGAS.COM after they oficially join Curio/HHonors, I will probably move my stayl

I posted another question on their facebook page about the breakfast since I have a Vegas stay labor day weekend. This is their reply:
"Hi XXXX, we plan to have answers to your questions closer to the beginning of September. Thank you for your patience. "
I thought the SLS was going to be part of Hilton from the day they opened.
If that is the case they would have to know the breakfast benefit by then. If they aren't going to be part of Hilton until Sept I wish they would indicate that as well.

I wanted to see what rates would be next weekend with either MVP or my corporate rate and I tried both and both codes came up invalid, so not sure if Curio isn't participating in the MVP program and my corporate rate or if the rates haven't been loaded yet. AAA wasn't coming up as an option either.
I called the diamond desk to see if they could tell me if the rates were available and I was told that they wouldn't be part of Hilton until sometime in September (she didn't have the exact date). Weird they would open up and not be a Hilton property for just the first month.

This hotel/casino opens Friday (8/22/2014).
There have been many articles in Las Vegas newspapers in the past few days (not a lot on the hotel - more on the casino and nightlife).
Five things to know about the new SLS Las Vegas
Like why your favorite place may be the parking garage

Can SLS Las Vegas bring life back to the north end of the Strip?

Looking for a Bargain at SLS? Here’s the Code.

It looks like rack rates are about $100 per night weekdays. Discounts are already being offered around $80.00 per night weekdays.
We'll see what rates will be when Hilton ties in mid-Sept. I hope they do not treat HH members as poor as the Tropicana.
I have been with Marriott many years, but this year more and more I have been shifting towards Hilton.

If I can get it for $80/night after it joins HHonors AND retain benefits/points, I'll probably move at least 1 of my 2 nights to SLS, currently split between HGVC Strip and Convention.

FYI, SLS is a Virtuoso branded hotel as of right now. You may want to book via one of the fine Virtuoso agents here on FT if you're so inclined.
And the best news about this hotel?
MIRRORS ON THE CEILING, YA'LL!
(in the rooms with king beds).
That alone really makes me want to book my parents here.

It will be under the new Curio Brand, I was there (LAS) on Friday when it opened and there was a great fireworks show. Good to have another property there.

I'm interested in hearing what HH members say about it once it joins Cairo

SLS is now bookable through Hilton.com... though it seems NONE of my corp codes have rates available this month. Looks like SLSLasVegas.com rates are still notably lower and will, per HHonorsRepresentative, qualify for HHonors benefits and points. Now I'm trying to decide between $118/night for SLS vs. ~$71/night at HGVC Strip & Convention Center (in town for a convention at Renaissance Las Vegas which is nearby to all three).
