PassportNews learned through sources related to the Indian company that Air India intends to fly directly between Mumbai and Tel Aviv beginning October 2010.

The Indians are currently working on plans to enable starting the flights between the two countries at the earliest possibility.

It was also learned that Open Sky, headed by CEO Ephraim Fortis, will continue to represent Air India in Israel, as it has for the past 22 years. The Indians, as can be recalled, have reorganized worldwide, including reevaluating their various representatives. After the completing their reassessment in Israel, they announced that Open Sky will continue to represent them in the coming years.

Thanks! I just read it the news article published. So AI will inaugurate new routes from BOM-TLV nonstop. I am not sure for which the equipment is that. I think it is 777 or A330 aircraft. Who will be next announced more new route from TLV-SIN/BKK/HKG on operating TG, SQ, CX.

Also worth a mention the LH flights to/fro Frankfurt reduced this week 22-25 Feb. due to pilots striking.

The afternoon flights from TLV (LH687), will be cancelled Mon.-Thu, while the early morning flight (LH691) will operate except on Wed.

Munich flights are operatind as scheduled.

Uh-oh. It might the pilots will goes on strike. I don't blames what is situations is going on with LH pilots will have to be in negotiations deal from LH management will have to raising the salary. it will depending for LH pilots will have fully agreements with a new contract deal. It might to have paycut due to losing the financial trouble. IT wasn't enough the aircraft available to be deliveries to LH.

As these are cancellations, and not reduced frequency, I believe that it should NOT be added.

I have added some info regarding LX capacity change. Please look at the list and answer what do you thing about that - should we list flights 254/255 on the good list as this is an increased capacity, or on the bad list as they have much worse business seats.

Indeed, the worst C seats in the LX fleet in fact.

The only good thing is the flights going from an A320 to A330 as at least the A330 has a proper Business class product (even if it isn’t good) unlike the A320.

But then it remains to be seen how often LX do a last minute aircraft change and out an A320 on the route.

Thanks! That's so great to have another *A member flying to TLV, even if it is 2 weekly.
Added that to the main post, as well as 4U's new flight to CGN.

Yep, you are absolutely correct! 4U has announce more new routes from CGN-TLV only twice-weekly service. Here it is:

http://airlineroute.net/2010/02/25/4u-tlv/#more-17890

Here the scheduled to be releases. It will inaugurate service on March 30, 2010.

4U550 CGN1705 – 2220TLV 319 26
4U551 TLV2315 – 0300+1CGN 319 26

Hopefully the loads will be very successful out of CGN-TLV. If 4U will have to be increasing the frequency from 2x to 4x weekly frequencies to be added.

There will be no need for that. There will be 5 weekly flights between the destinations. And both AB and 4U allow one way flights for half of the price of the return flight, so you can buy one way on AB and another on 4U.

And while 4U has better hours for the CGN-TLV flight, AB has better hours for the TLV-CGN flight. So until 4U will not change their hours at TLV there is no way I will use their service for the TLV-CGN flight.
