The title and content of this thread are difficult to understand compared to this thread, I would try and clean up the wiki to explain which aircraft this thread is discussing, but I honestly am not comfortable with my level of knowledge on this subject, but I do know enough that there needs to be more clarity in this thread or the information should just be merged into the other thread (and that thread given a better title ... like "The Official 757-200 Interior Mod Tracking Thread").

I'm confused too. I have a domestic flight coming up on a 757-200 with 16 FC seats and the recliner sleeper seat icon (not flat beds). There are also icons for AVOD and wifi. Is this good news or bad news? In other words, will I be flying on one of the BE equipped aircraft, is it an international 757, a very old domestic 757 or what?

It is most likely the configuration 75E which has AVOD and WI-FI but is not the 75S config with the flat beds installed. This thread is tracking just the 75S modifications and not the 757 domestic modifications, that is in a different thread as stated earlier. Hope this helps.

I think it makes sense that the two threads be merged, and the name of this thread be maintained. The new, combined wiki, should have a prominent link to the 757-300 mod thread.

The Official 757-200 Interior Mod Tracking Thread

Or just combine all three into a broader "All 757s" thread

Just booked a JFK-LAX flight got upgrade for a flight on a 75S. Wondering if anyone has an experience with the bulkhead on this plane. Can't tell from the promotional photos if the bulkhead will have extra legroom or will be cramped. I think the AVOD would be on a wall in front, but not sure with the exit door right there.

I don't care too much about front storage space, so looking for any insight if I should book 2nd or 3rd row...thanks!

Posted a similar post, wondering the same thing about the bulkhead on the 75S.

Don't book the bulkhead. My Delta source who is in the know on fleet mods said that the front row bed length in 1A and 1B was unacceptable to Delta and they are changing it now. They are actually shrinking the closet in front of the lav and behind 4A and 4B to scoot everything back to make 1A and 1B have longer beds. I think he said they are finally getting it rectified on the 6th or 7th aircraft to get modified. Then they need to go back and fix the ones that were already done.

I would avoid the bulkhead, and especially 1A and 1B for awhile until Delta can fix them all.

I have only flown the 75S once (JFK-LAX) and it was in 1A, and boy was it tight, especially when fully reclined. The full bed was indeed quite short, so much so that the cushions seemed to be buckling and struggling for space! I swore after that flight that I would only go for row 2, 3, or 4 on my next 75S flight! Good to hear they are rectifying the issue....

Interesting you mention this because I was on a 75S yesterday and in 4A and thought the same thing. Extremely tight and sounded like it was crunching against the footrest when fully flat. I ended up just going about 75% flat for the flight and it was comfortable enough. I wonder if this is a problem on the first and last rows. Hope to try row 2 or 3 next time.

On a more positive note - the seat overall was comfortable and the entertainment options great. Very attentive crew as well.

I think he said they are finally getting it rectified on the 6th or 7th aircraft to get modified. Then they need to go back and fix the ones that were already done.

I would avoid the bulkhead, and especially 1A and 1B for awhile until Delta can fix them all.
thank you! newbie posting here so this was super helpful. really appreciate it

Yeah! Row 1 sucks, avoid row 1 at all cost!

(For those of us with big feet, row 1 has a bigger footwell, so if sleeping isn't in order...)
