not necessarily so. The 75S will appear on Saturday's only on JFK-SEA as flight 453 departing at 7:10 AM and arriving SEA at 10:15 AM. Then the same 75S returns the same day to JFK as flight 1473 - Departs SEA at 11:16 AM and arrives JFK at 7:39 PM. I am guessing it then does a TATL flight or maybe even sub for a possible MX issue on one of the earlier JFK to LAX/SFO flights.

Does anyone have any experience or could point me in the direction of best seats in C+ on the 75S? Upcoming JFK-LAX, waitlisted using an RUC, but want to have a good seat in case J sells out.

Some will note that the aisle seats in row 4 may be bothered by light/noise from the lav/galley, but it honestly doesn't bug me (granted I'm usually on daytime flights).

Also, it's worth noting that these upgrades are typically at-the-gate, so pickings are likely slim due to there only being 16 seats.
If you read Barbella7's question carefully, he's inquiring about the best seats in C+, not in BE! I can't help here as I've only flown in BE in the 75S.

On Saturday's in October, two of the four non-stops SEA-JFK are on reconfigured 757's with the flat beds.

DL2829 at 11:15 and DL1109 at 14:30.

It seems to be limited only to Saturday's and not any other day of the week. I'm booked on one coming up (low F award!), hoping no aircraft swap as it should be a nice ride...

FC is cramped like the B739

I flew the 75D a few weeks back from LAS-DTW, I noticed on the app that my seat got reassigned two days before departure, and that there were C+ seats to the left of 2L. Luckily as a PM, I got upgraded @ the gate, 4 of 12 for 7 seats, and I have to say the seats are nice, similar to the B739. However, the seats felt cramped and with C+ close behind us, it took away the exclusivity of FC, as C+ passengers were close to FC and trying to access the restrooms up front, even though, they have one nearby them. The overhead bins are a great upgrade and the mood lighting.

I was going to send a comment to Delta.com regarding my experience on this aircraft, but I figured, they'd just throw me some miles and not take the criticism constructively. I certainly would not pay more for FC when the experience is in cramped seats in FC and with C+ passengers really close to FC in a transcon flight. What are your thoughts?

N543US is now undergoing mods at ATL. From a DL employee on another forum: there will be four mod lines going forward IND, ATL, SAT, and a new one in LCH. With Delta's aggressive scheduling, I wouldn't be surprised if they have all 70 757s completed by the end of next year.

FYI, 739's and 738's are needed in JFK on Saturdays to fund Saturday-only flights. The 75S' come from DOW-reduced JFKLAX and JFKSFO frequencies, which then free up the 739s from SEA. It is also why you sometimes see the 75S going JKFSLC or JFKSAN on Saturdays.

Just flew N752AT from SEA-HNL... Woof! Get those ancient horrendous things out of the fleet!!! Truly. Public bus feel.

N543US is supposed to become a 75H...... ships 5635-5649 were to make up the 15 aircraft 75H fleet, and 5650-5657 to join the 75D fleet. What happened?

Here are my thoughts on the new cabin....

Overall I thought it was a very appealing upgrade, and looks like it is fresh out of the Boeing factory in Seattle.

*NOTE the 75H is getting the old 75E Zodiac economy and Delta + seats and new FC Zodiac seats.
*NOTE the 75D is getting new (739, 75S, 753 style) B/E aerospace economy seats and new FC Zodiac seats

*NOTH the 75H will most likely get new B/E aerospace economy seats after the old 75E Zodiac seats are worn down to the point that they need to be replaced.

PROS:

* State of the art modern interior, aircraft looks brand new
* Seats are quite comfortable in First Class and Delta +
* Mood lighting in cabin
* Mood lighting in restrooms
* Brand new Zodiac/Weber FC seats with adjustable headrests and large Smart Monitor AVOD screens
* Re-used former 75E Zodiac/Weber Delta + and Coach seats with adjustable headrests and smaller Panasonic AVOD screens
* New bins to fit modern and larger luggage
* Renovation of restrooms and re-using the quieter, "Blue water" toilets
* Legroom is great in FC and Delta +, and decent in the Main Cabin
* Recline is great in FC and Delta +, and decent in the Main Cabin
* New cabin smell
* New appealing Diamond style bulkheads with the Delta logo at rear galley

CONS:

* Reduction in FC seats
* Mini cabin of Delta + seats by first class takes away secluded FC feeling
* Smaller restrooms
* Removal of galley at door 2 (from 757, 75M, 75A Configs)
* Main cabin feels a bit cramped and crowded, almost 739 like
* New window shape is a bit awkward
* Mood lighting might cause eye stress
* No longer has the entire "classic" 757 feeling
* Ridiculous cabin dividers between FC and Delta +

Overall they are some very nice aircraft, and I am looking forward to flying on the 75H again, and the 75D someday soon. However, if you are like me, I will miss flying on the old classic cabins of the 75M and 75V if you enjoy larger, more cushioned seats and less cramped cabins.

I'd give the 75H an overall rating of 8/10
Thanks -- these photos look great. I am on one of these on LAX-SLC in a few weeks (enroute to IAH.) Likely no upgrade for me because of lack of F inventory but should be able to cop C+.

I really wish UA did this with some of the sUA 757 that are being retired instead of taking delivery of those awful 739s with no AVOD. Night and day compared to DL's 739

Fixed the wiki. When N543US exits mods, will monitor its flights to see if it eventually makes its way to Hawai'i.

AFAIK this is correct! What makes you think otherwise?

I marked it in the 75D section of the wiki.

Here is an easy way to remember it. The 5600 series with N5**US registrations will make up the 75H fleet. The ones with N5**NW are non ETOPS and will join the 75D fleet.

Also, when will N757AT and N752AT leave the fleet? Anyone know the dates?
