We hope to be able to make this event and have made a holding reservation at Le Meridien. After the turn of the New Year we will have a much better idea of our schedule for next spring and summer and can confirm at that time.

So I request that f0zzyNUE put the two of us down as "interested" although we are closer to "probable" since we will make every effort to get there.

^ marked you as interested. NUE in Summer should be even more favorable than chilly Christmas time

Well, I am definitely interested... trying to explore my home continent a bit more next year, and then I think there is "beer" in the title, so it must be good!

I'm definitely interested.

I have to get from OzFest to the AFF lounge crawl in HKG somehow!

So I just decided to nose around to see what kind of air was available that could get us to NUE at the proper time for this DO and I saw something that is a very rare bird. That was 2 Z class award seats on the one-a-day AF MIA-CDG.

There was no extra charge for throwing in CDG-NUE on something called HOP! which I presume is AF's misguided attempt at running an LCC.

So here I am with air and hotel in NUE for the two of us and, barring mishap, we will join f0zzyNUE at the end of May.

HOP is not a LCC, but the operator or the regional fleet of AF. They only fly Embraer 170 and Embraer 190 and service is like on mainline. However they fly from the infamous Terminal 2G which is small but very efficient and since a few months 2G has gotten a decent lounge.

That is good to hear. The 2G lounge at CDG was always like a zoo but it was so small that you never had the trouble of not quickly finding an acquaintance whom you knew was going to be there.

He/she generally was standing around waiting for a seat.

ETA to move this post on topic: frantic requests that if a day trip is organized out of NUE that the destination be Regensburg.

A5 wishes it were a low cost carrier ...

In any respect, monitor was not the only one confused about how A5 and AF interact.

Just to throw this out there, I'm planning on heading to Hamburg after this event to take the Airbus Factory Tour. I've heard good things about it, looking forward to comparing it to the Boeing tours that I have done. So if we have any AvGeeks interested in joining, please let me know.

Interested and have rooms booked at LM, but not sure if I can swing the dates yet. Hopefully things will firm up in the new year. I'd be interested in Hamburg as well if my schedule permits.
