Here we go:

Thursday evening : Traditional Barfuesser opening (Franconian food feast) following a meet-up @Le Meridien Atelier bar.

Friday: I had planned an all day guided bus tour to medieval sites of Langenzenn, Cadolzburg, Heilsbronn, Rosstal - "On the trail of the House of Hohenzollern"
This tour needs at least 26 participants (á 39€) or can be booked as private tour for 1014€ and the price needs to be divided by the participants. (15 participants -> 67.50€/person / 20 participants -> 50,70€ / 10 participants -> 101€)
Alternatively: a guided morning ("This is Nuremberg - a walk through history") and afternoon walking tour ("On the trails of Albrecht Dürer") in Nuremberg with a lunch visit to the Franconian beer festival in the moat.

Friday Evening: 5th NUE DO anniversary dinner - A Fine Dining Menu @ either Würzhaus Nürnberg or Imperial by Alexander Herrmann

Saturday: day trip to Regensburg
Morning Walking tour - "Classic Regensburg"
Lunch at the traditional "Historische Wurstkuchl"
Afternoon Walking tour "History, Made by Nature"

Saturday evening: Dinner @ a traditional beer garden

Sunday: Good bye brunch (at the airport)

Eventbrite Website is in preparation.
And as always - all tours will be private tours and have a fixed fee which will be divided by the number of registrants. The amount to be paid in NUE will be mailed to you a few days prior to the DO when I have the final number of participants.

Also sad to be missing it. Although the moat at lunch seems a bit dangerous......

Sounds good, F0zzyNUE. Hopefully I will be there in time for some of the festivities on Thursday.

I am in for Friday and Saturday as long as it doesn't get too exy.

monitor +1 on for everything including Hohenzollern and Regensburg day trips. If, as expected, the Airport Sunday brunch is pre-security, we are on for that as well.

Ditto (only just me, no +1). I'm at the Le Meridien and actually arrive Wednesday if anyone is about then.

Count me in for all! Arriving at Le Meridien sometime on Thursday afternoon.

*And yes, based on previous experience, the brunch is pre-security.

Thanks for posting the program, I hope some people will finally confirm their attendance. That would make planning easier as well.
I will be arriving sometime Thursday, count me in for Thursday night, Friday and Sat. I haven't yet decided about the "castle tour".
Regensburg sounds great, I've been wanting to go for a long time... How are we going to get there? (I suppose by train, but I am just curious).
Looking forward to meeting all of you!

My attendance has become uncertain. I find myself in a job situation (one I sought and want to do) that may require me to attend 2.5 weeks of mandatory training right around Memorial Day before I would leave for a 9-month detail (possibly longer) in South Asia. Things aren't quite final yet - I need to pass a medical exam and 7 people have to sign off on the Memorandum of Understanding - but it's looking very much like things will work out. I'd also need to do a fair amount of "housekeeping" work in my current position and at home before I leave, and I suspect that would prove very difficult to complete if I'm out of the country for more than a week. That said, I still have hotels booked (but have no other arrangements in place) and may be able to squeeze this trip into my schedule (my ambitious plans for OZ Fest + the NUE DO seem very improbable; I might be able to do one of the two, however). I'm hoping to have more clarity within the next week, but as things are now, I simply cannot make a firm commitment. I'll be sure to post to the thread when I'm able to make a final decision.
