Subject: RE: Reconfirmed - Tuesday 18th of April, Panmunjom tour #12 -'serfty'

Hello,

Dont't forget bring all of your passport on tour day.

And you must reconfirm your reservation one day before the tour day by email
or phone (02-755-0073), either way is okay.
Because, sometimes the Panmunjom tour could be partly cancelled by unexpected
military situation or bad weather but we do not know when or where it happens.

I’ll wait your reconfirmation one day before the tour day.

Thank you.

Regards,
TOURDMZ
Same reply I got...

I may be being stupid/naive here, but do wwe all need to confirm with this tour company, even though we didn't make individual reservations? I'm slightly confused...

Just got off the phone with TourDMZ. Everyone that is on the list for the DMZ Tour is now CONFIRMED. No need to email them now or the day before.

Sorry for the confusion. Hopefully this will be one less thing everyone has to do.

Just show up Tuesday morning with your passport at Hotel President.

If anyone is flying into Seoul on Asiana and also planning to take the Airport limo bus to their hotel, you can save 1000 ₩ by showing your boarding pass, however, only from ICN (so won't work for me)

Tons of other discounts, per this link

There is something called a Korail Pass. But this is only good for the trains (high speed, commuter etc.) It does not work for the subway. Unless you are planning on visiting other parts of Korea and traveling by train, then I woud not get the Korail Pass.

Then there is a Korea Pass, which is "an all-in-one travel card that can be used to pay for accommodations, tourist attraction entrance fees, and shopping purchases. You can also activate the transportation function of the Korea Pass by charging it outside the subway or at any number of convenient locations throughout the country." So the transportation function needs to be activated and funded. In that case, I recommend using a type of E-Money card such as T-Money card.

You can purchase a T-Money card at most 7-11 type stores (GS25, CVS for you, 7-11). I think the cost of the card is either 2500 or 4000 krw. Then it can be charged up at any subway station. The machines can display English. T-Money cards can be used to pay for taxis, buses (but not all airport bus limos), and convenience stores.

So T-Money is the Seoul equivalent to Japan's Suica? Is the card refundable?
