While no guarantees, there is a very good chance you'd see a lower LAX-ORD fare between now and October.

A research tool: http://www.faredetective.com/farehistory. Just fill FROM and TO boxes and click SEARCH.

I'd like to share a room at the primary hotel

Not sure if there are still rooms at the overflow hotel, but I'd much rather be at the HI Elk Grove Village.

Looking for someone that has a room, that is willing to share. I'd split costs, you'd keep the points, maybe have use of my car, since I'm local and it will sit in the lot all weekend anyway.

PM if interested.

seems high for an Oct date IMO.

Remember to pick up the Costco AA cards ($300 worth of airfare for $270(no tax))

Prior to the fuel surge and during the VX fare war it was available for $180 a/i. $200 seemed to be the going rate. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

If all goes well, I will be in reasonably early on Friday and I am more than willing to help out in any way I can throughout the weekend until about 3 pm on Sunday.

Nearby hotel

Just saw this Groupon good for next 3.5 days for a hotel room for $ 70. If you do this, remember to get extra points with Chase Sapphire Preferred UR Mall !

Depending on your timings to and fro th Seminar, one of us locals can give you a ride....

I'm in. Hotel booked and registration fee paid. I managed to get a room at the main hotel. Is that possible? I was just reading people saying that the overflow was booked, so maybe they want to try the Elk Grove HI.

Also, I'm totally happy to help sell raffle tickets.

Any folks from DC want to fly out together?
