I was waiting to hear from rst113 before I tried the 80K link.

I'm still waiting to hear back from chase. They said they forwarded my request to the rewards department and to wait 3-5 business days for a response. I think Thanksgiving has prolonged things but I'll update when I hear back, hopefully tomorrow.

When you click the "Apply now" link from your 80,000 targeted email, does the application page mention anything about 80,000 bonus points? Mine doesn't.

So I bit the bullet and applied for this card via the 80k link. I was instantly approved and will call to confirm the bonus as soon as I receive the card. Guess I'm the guinea pig!

confirmation

Kdoughboy,

Are you calling to confirm your deal, or just waiting for the points to post? Can't wait to hear your result.

I'll be calling to confirm that the sign-up bonus for the card is 80k. Not planning to make the first purchase until January so I'll be guaranteed PC platinum status through 2013.

No go for me on trying to bump the bonus. After giving them the DLPX code from above this is the response I got. Even if we could dig a 12 digit code from the info above (I couldn't find one), it says it has to be specific to your name.

"In order for this account to be eligible for the 80,000
enrollment bonus offer, you must apply using the
application that has an exclusive invitation number
specific to your name. If you received this offer within
90 days of opening the exact same account you can call us
at 1-800-436-7937 to supply the 12 digit invitation number
listed on the new solicitation or reply to this message.
We would be happy to confirm and add any additional
bonuses that were associated with the new offer."

What is the chance of getting complimentary upgrades with PC Platinum status?

Guess I might need to ask for the 60k points, considering I applied through the 80k page.

I honestly have no idea, I just figured why NOT have plat for my 2013 trip?

Can you try giving them the link, point to the terms and say that there is a flag which most likely means solicitation isn't required?

I sent them another message with the link and the fact that it does not appear to be a solicited offer. I'll let you know what they say.

Seeing that the link didn't need any solicitation, you might get lucky with the 80k!

I just tried that. Received my card today (after applying under the 60K offer) and called to activate, but pointed out that the 80K offer seems to be now available without targeting, and requested the 20K difference. The person I spoke to, after taking down the link addresses in the OP, investigated and then said no, this offer is still targeted, and if I receive a targeted offer (with individual coding) in the near future, I can call back and get the additional points credited. Otherwise, he said if I believed there was an existing link out there for an 80K offer, I could just CANCEL my new card and apply all over under that link, assuming I found one. The links in the OP are NOT an application to an 80K offer, he said.

I don't think any of you are going to be successful in obtaining an untargeted 80K points unless someone can find an operating link to a public offer for this campaign. Those codes on the legal disclosures appear to be meaningless to Chase...

Meanwhile, I'm not crying over my 60K points!

Kdoughboy, it's all resting on you!

What have you heard from Chase about what kind of bonus you'll receive?

Thanks for being the guinea pig
