I'm not sure what is going on and nor can I claim to be 110% credible, but Krug is still there on the flight prep (think intranet for cabin crew) for ALL long haul ex-HKG departures both yesterday and today at least. Perhaps it was supposed to be switched to the Taittinger gradually, but there is still some Krug 'left' to provision (so stock is short for Taittinger not Krug!) Or it could be the other way round too.
Sometimes the menu does not print what is actually served. I know because ex-ORD, Deutz is not loaded - they actually serve Moet and Chandon brut in J but the menu never reflects that anyway.
Perhaps I should shoot an email to Ed to clarify

All I can verify is that the rest of the menu was very similar to another CX882 flight in F I had recently, and and also close to the menu posted on the 2017 F Menu thread (Caviar / 2 Western dinner starters / 3 Western dinner mains / 3 course Chinese menu / Cheese + Desserts (4) / 5 snacks inc. ice cream / Breakfast as second option with 3 mains.
Western starters were:
*Tomato, orange and basil soup
*Niscoise salad with the seared tuna on top
Western mains were:
*Grilled tenderloin, had bone-in and was actually quite decent (especially with the Bordeaux below), roasted vegetables and garlic
*Pan-seared jumbo king prawns with couscous
*Pasta pomodoro
Branaire Ducru 2008 was the Bordeaux red
Chablis grand cru 2013 (forgot producer) was Burgundy white
These were the two wines I drank, in addition to the Tattinger.
Dessert wine was a Sauternes, the second wine of Chateau Sigalas Ribaud.
Scotches were JW Blue and Glenmorangie Signet.
Also had a 2015 NZ Central Ottago pinot noir which I didn't drink. Can't remember the rest of the wines.
Yes to memory! Hopefully this helps put some pieces of the puzzle together with what your friends see for their upcoming flights.

Speaking of which, I just saw from the local forum that in J class, Billecart has been subbed by Piper Heidsieck. Not really sure if good or bad change this is...

you're referring to the Billecart to Piper, right? Agree on that for sure.
Regarding the F (temporary? limited? pending?) swap from Krug to Tattinger Comtes de Champagne, I actually quite like the Tattinger. Very lovely wine. And I've had enough Krug before that it's a nice switch IMO.

New Champagne definitely on CX882, 881, 883
I snagged F menus on the return. Indeed, at least for August Tattinger Comtes de Champagne 2006 is the bubbly on CX883 and 881 as per the menu. As it was on my CX882 outbound. I am not familiar enough you know what flights (if any) CX882 shares its drink menu with. Is it only on LAX flights?!
Will forward menu to Carfield shortly.
