Citibank Premiermiles (Same earn rate as Asiamiles, i.e. $8/miles; $4/miles for overseas)
HSBC Premier (Same earn rate as Asiamiles, i.e. $16.67/miles; possible to enjoy 6x)
AMEX (non-CX cards) (Same earn rate as Asiamiles, $15/miles or $7.5/miles if joined turbo program)

*HSBC Premier cardholders can redeem Reward cash in other card account for AVIOS.

Prestige is slightly better than Dahsing because of its year-end bound feature, which gives you at least 5% more miles.
Prestige also has a HK$2,500 yearly fee. First year is fine because of the bonus miles and the two free nights hotel stay, but after that, is it worth the fee?

Yeah

Or what I and the missus (plan to) do is to churn every year. I applied this year and gave her supp cards, I cut and she applies next year and gives me supps. That way not only do we enjoy 30,000/$2,500 we also get $2/mile earn rate or whatever additional PM+Prestige new joiner promo there is.

It helps we're still two income.

I couldn't find reference to the renewal bonus. Is there a link for that?

Also, the 2 night bonus stay is only for those who have no Citibank Credit Cards currently?

Looks like the invite requirement has been removed http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...p?id=13088&p=5 #45. I'll wait to see if any welcome offer before I apply.

No link but they've been giving out this letter as late as July:

No link. Just experience, and it's just the second year that the Prestige is launched. But if they cut this benefit and remain charging $2xxx, I am sure 90%cardholders will cancel the card.

For the welcome offer, it seems they have changed the T&C again and revert to the 2013 summer version (that's when I apply for the card)
http://www.citibank.com.hk/global_do...dc-master.html

The above welcome offers are only applicable to customers who currently do not hold and / or have not held any principal card of Citibank Credit Card and / or Citibank Private Label Card issued by Citibank and / or principal card of Diners Club Card issued by Diners Club International (HK) Limited ("Diners") within the past 12 months from the date of issue of the Eligible Card ("New Customer").(Except designated customers and applicants of Citi Prestige Card)
There was a discussion on Hongkongcard, and seems the consensus is one need not be virgin with Citi to get the miles and resort stay.
On the other hand, some also mentioned that the free resort is quite lame.

u are correct.

so 30,000 miles or 40,000 miles is for everyone, resort is just for virgin customer.

Does the $6/mile of Citi prestige card apply to AAVS of Octopus card?

Also, is supplementary card free?

Percysmith - just to confirm (maybe I'm not reading the threads right but doesn't seem 100% clear) - existing Citibank card holders, upon applying for Citibank Prestige card, (1) still get the Asia Miles sign up bonus (30K/40K), but (2) do not get the resort?

I don't care about the resort, so all good if this is the case. Pls confirm, thanks!
