I want to stay at a hotel for 4 nights. If I make 2 reservations, each for 2 nights, according to the T&C, I will only receive one free night. My question is that: Will this rule be enforced by the hotel because I only pay points for 2 nights when I make the reservation?

Can't complain though. CC is being more than generous with the free award night feature as it stands.

I got my card today after the rules yesterday.
Great idea, Animalj7! My card has my CC#, so Thepla should check his/ hers to see if the number is new.

I called visa and asked about the rental insurance (US bank gave me their number) and they said there is not any special rental insurance with this card. My document that came with card says there is but no details.
My Chase United card has these privileges but I'd rather get these hotel points compared to airlines miles.
I did find my number on back of card. I have Business Card.

Receiving the card, points and status seems to take some time. I applied the first day the card was available and got an instant acceptance with a note saying it was subject to further review and approval by US Bank. At least a week later I received the T&C in an envelope that said the card would come separately. The next day I received and activated the card. This morning, three or four days after activation, I saw gold status on line but still no points. It's Sunday today, so I assume there will be a data dump tomorrow. All in all it took about two weeks to get the card and see status posted.

Upgrade to Gold Status
seems it wont happen till USB notifys CC that you had a transaction. CC says they dont know what USB will do but they expect it will only be sent over once your statement closes. So until your acct says Gold, you arent
As for being able to make a booking I expect that in order to get the 2nd night free you would need enough pts in your acct for 2 nights even thou only 1 nights worth would be deducted. With SPGs soon to expire some Resorts 50-40-30% off you had to cash in the reg amount and then later on youd be refunded the amount according to the % off
So if you wanted to stay at a Cat7 with 50% off for 3 nights you needed to have 90k in your acct if all you had was 45k you could only book 1 night at the promo rate. So if CC is also requiring enough pts to book the complete stay before any deduction will occur, they arent alone. Lets not forget the benefit isnt Book 1 night get the 2nd night free, its Book more then 1 night and your last night is free, if a person doent have enough pts for more then 1 night Id say they wont beable to take advantage of the promo, since all they are doing is Booking 1 night and they need to Book 2+ nights in order to get the benefit to kick in

Metoo #173, the automated system told me on Dec. 7 that I had been approved. When I logged in the same day, I could make ressies with one night free, incl. a 2=nighter when I was down to my last 1 night's worth of poitnts.
I got the T&Cs in the mail on Dec. 14, then my Visa card on Dec. 15 as stated in #165 & #172 above.

Has anyone successfully registered their card on usbank.com? This is my first account with USBank, so I don't have any sort of online presence with them yet. When I attempt to enroll in online banking, the site continuously gives me an error message, even though I'm entering everything correctly (card #, cvv, expiration, zip code, last4ssn).
By the time I called customer service on Saturday, I was told the error message meant that I had used up my three attempts and was locked out until midnight local time. I tried again on Sunday and called cust serv after the first error message. I was told it was a generic "something is not entered correctly" code. The rep opened a ticket with the Internet support team and said I'd hear back on Monday.
I got this email today:
So I'm guessing that no one with the new CC cc (heh) has been able to manage online....

I too tried to register online Sunday & got the same error message! I phoned CS & was told that their IT dept. was working on it, so I should try Monday. I just tried a few minutes ago--still not working. So let's try again tomorrow!
