The latest version (2010) of the First cabin (termed "Prime" internally by British Airways, or "New First") is available on all 4-class 777s and all 747s.

An newer evolution (2013) of the First seat (Prime+) is found on all A380s, and a newer version still (2015) is available on all 787-9s.

The older version of the First cabin (termed "Classic" internally by British Airways, or "Old First") has now been withdrawn.

747 information updated to 31 March 2016. Last change: withdrawal of G-BNLF, the last OF aircraft

The other DEL-LHR flight that day is a 789.

Interesting coincidence to see BA's oldest and newest First products on the same route.

Doesn't make much of a difference to me as I am in WTP
WTP in the 789 will have a much newer seat and newer IFE and power points accepting British plugs and will be much quieter. That's quite a difference.

You are absolutely correct, I was referring to the general angst over BA subjecting its customers to OF, which did not apply to me.

That being said, I would have no trouble swapping my WTP seat for OF

If you have got "74I" from the EF seat map (or similar), it does not indicate OF. "74I" is now routinely being shown whether it's an OF or NF aircraft, and has been for a long time now. (See the notes in the "internal codes" thread.) flightradar24.com suggests that BA142 on 2 November is planned to be operated by G-CIVA, which is NF.

Please forgive me for asking a question that is likely anwered in this 300+ page thread. I am flying F in October from London to Denver on a 747. Will OF still exist in October of 2016 on any route? Thanks for your time...

No, OF remains only on one 747 (G-BNLF), which is due to be retired in March. Currently the First cabin on this aircraft is sold as Club World.

The question still remains, what will become of this thread once G-BNLF is gone?

Hopefully BA will announce a new business class product for the A350 and it can morph into 'tracking new-CW' :-)

It will finally be put to bed, just like OF and G-BNLF - and may they all rest in peace

We can keep it open so that people can whinge about the deficiencies of NF and reminisce about why OF was so much better, in the true FT spirit of always finding something to complain about.

I may be guilty of this as I actually prefer the look of OF, NF is a bit clinical and a bit dark for my liking. I however accept that the IFE was awful and BA allowed the cabins to get into a shocking state. Would have loved to travel in OF but alas this is not to be.
