I've put in 4 separate requests: 4/9, 4/10, 4/11, and 4/12. None have posted yet. Hopefully it is the 15th of the month thing!

First one just posted (right after midnight PST on 4/14). So, with this trend, it seems like it could be ~3 biz days after request.

The last few times I have requested transfers they have never taken more than 4 days to post. Some have even been as fast as 2 days.

based on CC posts SPG is worth a lot more than alaska? so instead of moving 20K of SPG to get 25K alaska.. isn't it better to get someone to book you a 25K award, and then give that person say 15K of SPG? (or whatever ratio works).

Thinking/wondering out loud.. not trying to get or give points here.
Yes, but for some people, the risks and/or time investment involved with trading may make that option less attractive.

I'm curious about the # of miles you all have transferred. I transferred 150,000 points in 2 separate transactions. Alaska seems to think that my transfer may take longer given the amount of points I transferred. I am impatient! I want to get my Emirates First Class Suite booked!

Third one posted this afternoon PST (4/16).

I've transferred 60k spg points ---> 75k AS points at a time.

I transferred 20K SPG points on Monday and they posted either yesterday in the afternoon or today (Thursday).

Requested Sunday night. Was in my account Monday afternoon. Was astounded by the speed. Consider my expectations well managed.

Same name?

Does AS insist on same name?
SPG / US used to allow anyone to transfer to anyone's US account.
AA insists on the same name.

I recently had to transfer AS points to bring my account to 90k from another family account -
Instantaneous transfers, like US (and much better than AA)

Called last Sunday and the miles were in my account by lunch on Monday. I'm very happy with quickness of the transfer as I was told it could take a couple of weeks.
