The AA Refunds site is cold and impersonal and just a matter of submitting your details and then on a wing and a prayer, hoping you get your refund. August came and went, and by September, and email update from AA Refunds mentioned that they were requesting further information from QF. 2 weeks later the claim updated as CLOSED, and I didn't get an email - it was by logging in to get an update. I sent an email via the AA Refunds page to query this, and in early October, Crista emailed me.
