Wyndham Rewards - Status Match

Howdy FTers!

I have a stay coming up in less than a week and I just now registered for Wyndham Rewards. I found this link: https://www.wyndhamhotels.com/wyndham-rewards/laquinta-returns/status-match

When I try to access the link on my phone (the only device I have at the moment), it opens the Home Screen of the Wyndham App.

I called today (twice) and was kindly told both times that the program for status matches is changing. Both times I was told the details should be available “early March”.

Anyone have recent status match experiences to share?

There have been messages on the status match page for at least a month, people were afraid this would affect matching TO Caesars, but its only an issue with matching FROM other programs. Sorry...

Did the status match in Feb and was assigned gold. I was just approved for the Wyndam Business card. Can I do another status match? Thanks

No more $100 celebration dinner for Wyndham Business earner card to Caesars Diamond.

Just picked up my Caesar's Diamond rewards card at the Caesar's rewards desk in Las Vegas and asked them about the $100 Celebration dinner and they said that the status matches from the Wyndham Business earner is no longer eligible for the $100 celebration dinner. He said one must earn 100 tier credits to get the celebration dinner credit.

That's not true ( or at least YMMV) and if it was 10 TC should take about 10 minutes of playing low denom slots.

A few years back some reported they needed to earn 100 TC but that was never the case for us.

A friend of ours was in Vegas last week and used the $100 Diamond cert obtained via the Wyndham match, it was on his card when he walked into Paris as he confirmed at the players desk.

I had the celebration dinner earlier this month and I never gamble

I meant it requires 100 tier credits not 10. So about $500 in spend.

When did you receive your Caesars Diamond status? It can take 7-10 days after that for the dinner to be added. They're processed on Wednesdays. Most rewards desk employees don't know the difference between a Wyndham match and a competitor match which does require 100 tier credits to earn the celebration dinner. I confirmed this with a rewards desk supervisor in Vegas last month and both my husband and I have received our 2024 celebration dinners.

Not spend as you can win...............sports bets are 10 TC per $100 bet.

Even though some are stating you don't need to earn any TC to get the $100 dinner when matching from Wyndham to CET Diamond CET has updated the benefits and it's stated you do need 100 TC.

One odd thing I noticed is we haven't been to any CET casinos in 2024 and I show zero Tier credits but my wife shows 100 TC so I'm guessing she is good to go.

We will check when we arrive at the Paris Players desk in May and see what they say.

Just wanted to share a data point.

I've had the Wyndham Earner Business since October, 2020. Was downgraded to Gold February 1,2024. Submitted my status match request to Caesars February 2nd and was rematched to Diamond on February 16.

I was concerned when I saw Flyer4512's post that Wyndham matches would now require 100 tier credits to get the $100.00 Celebration Dinner. Knowing I was heading to Vegas today, I completed a couple of online surveys through a Caesars affiliate because someone posted online that they earned tier credits....They don't. They earn reward credits, which at least reset the 6 month expiration date.

I checked in to the Cromwell tonight, picked up my rewards card, and was planning to play slots tonight, after dining at Giada's. As the agent was handing me my card, I asked her if the Celebration Dinner was active, expecting the worst. Surprisingly, she said it was available for use.

Had dinner that night, told the waiter I wanted to use my credit, and at the end of the meal, after two appetizers, an entree, a side, and dessert, was presented with a $9.00 check. As an aside, I used my reward credits to pay the $9 tab had them charge the $24.00 tip to my room.

I will be curious to hear from others. Maybe I just lucked out.

It does seem hit and miss and we have always had the dinner on both accounts before we gambled.

One friend of mine says his dinner was on the card last week when he landed, his brother did not have the dinner and hasn't recieved it yet as he only has 42 TC.

By any chance did you check your account before you got to Vegas?

I have zero TC but my wife already has 100 Tier credits and we have not been to any casinos in 2024 so I have no idea why she as any TC ..............I think last year we both had 100 TC and we both had the dinners on the cards when we landed in LV

On another note I didn't realize you could charge only a tip to your room and I'm positive I have asked in the past as we always pay in certs/RC's at the table to avoid tax.

BTW, How was Giada's ? We have dinner at Amalfi booked, wondering if Giada's is better.

Yes, I definitely had zero tier credits before I got to Vegas and after I redeemed my celebration dinner.

I played with $40 in slots after dinner and now have 22 tier credits.

Pay the bill with reward credits and ask them to charge you one penny. Add the tip to the penny charge and bill it to your room.

Really enjoyed the bacon wrapped dates appetizer. Waiters were very attentive and enjoyed my meal both nights. The Cromwell is much smaller than most other hotel and casinos and I liked the convenience of eating on site.

I've never been to Amalfi. Tomorrow I'm heading to Peter Luger's to see how it compares to their flagship Brooklyn, NY location and Bugsy and Meyers.

Peter Lugar is awesome, hopefully you have some way to heat up the leftovers as they give you a lot of food.

Bugsy is good but we prefer Jack Binion's steak inside Horseshoe.

Have you found any breakfast spots that take reward credits at 100 RC = $1 ?
